If no chain guard, I’ll put the chain on big chainring. If your hand slips off tool you’ll bleed less profusely. Learned that through experience (once).

Penetrating oil, spray liberally and let it sit overnight.

@@Finnv893 that worked the pedal has now come off you showed using grease on new pedals. Any type of grease in particularly? Thanks for your previous advice.

I used an adjustable wrench clamp and extendable bar, and went back and forth then turned it in the right direction and that seemed to work after soaking it with Penetrating oil spray overnight for two days and two nights it worked. Thanks for your help.

How do you know what size of Hex Wrench to you need.?

If you are using a hex wrench to remove the pedal, you will see the fitting for the hex through the hole if the crank. Not all pedals have a hex fitting, but the ones that do usually are 6mm or 8mm.
