The connector you identified as the touch-bar is actually the open close detector for opening the display. I had to reuse mine as my display didn’t come with it. It is a single screw and is passively magnetically coupled to the hinge. So there is no other wiring to make. Great video my Mac is 100% functional now.
What size screwdriver is the LCD Cable? The step before was the WiFi cable which is t5 and its not the 1.2 pentalobe. Its smaller but I really don't want to try the 0.8 incase I round it off

Great guide, only recommendation I would have for a more concise video is explaining what size driver you are using for each screw. The 8 screws that are extremely small for the Wi-Fi antenna is the same as a pentalobe driver, or a T3. Things like that help so much when the commentator explains that. Other than that, great video.

For the 2019 MacBook Pro 2019 16 inch, it says it needs to enter Mac Configuration Utility when replacing the display due to the Lid Angle Sensor requires a magnet on the left hinge. Can the system still boot if the System Configuration step is skipped?
Thanks for the video but at 15:25 it's better to remove the angle flex cable totally from the screen and logic board and then carefully refit it after replacing the LCD AND all six LCD hinge screws are refitted and secured.

i spilt tea in my macbook and i fixed it using this video just undid the case, disconnected battery and cleaned it let it dry out for 48 hours reconnected battery ribbon cable and now it works perfectly thanks
Where is the best place to find a cheap and compatible screen? Do you happen to have a compatibility chart or is there another computer that uses the same screen as the a2141? My maximum amount is somewhere in the $250ish price range, and I hope I can find one for cheaper.
Just a note most replacement do not come with the Touch ID Cable so you need to take it off the old one and put it on the new one. It is just 1 small screen it has pin hole for a plastic peg to hold it on while you put the screw back in.

Great guide, I was able to successfully repair my first 16" macbook screen with your guidance, I just have a little bit of feedback. That cable you're referring to at 9:50 is not the TouchID cable. That is for the hall effect sensor for the screen. It's super easy to unscrew and transfer, but VITAL that it's not damaged in the process. This sensor is programmed to each specific machine, so if it is damaged, it will cause all sorts of issues. For the common man, NEVER fix a MacBook yourself. My original screen cracked (because they are too thin). First replacement screen, same thing happened before I installed it. second replacement screen, I ripped one of the ribbon cables and stripped 4 of the screws. So that's 3 wrecked screens and a wrecked laptop. The screws are ridiculously small. I will never buy another Mac, never buy an Apple for that matter either. Sure I made mistakes, but Macs are garbage.
Over-engineered crap. Takes one screw driver to tear apart and rebuild a PC laptop. These pieces of crap require an entire tool set, everything on them is fragile and tedious to work on.

I have a workaround, if you turn it on and close the lid while it's plugged into the display, it will only be on your extended monitor.

Try to connect via HDMI or display port to TV or monitor. Hope you get display. If yes, maybe you want to change the LCD.

How to replace only trackpad?
You need to remove the battery first in order to replace touchpad. I would just change entirely battery, touchpad and keyboard all together.

So that's 3 wrecked screens and a wrecked laptop. The screws are ridiculously small. I will never buy another Mac, never buy an Apple for that matter either. Sure I made mistakes, but Macs are garbage.

Over-engineered crap. Takes one screw driver to tear apart and rebuild a PC laptop. These pieces of crap require an entire tool set, everything on them is fragile and tedious to work on.
