  • Neil Young has been a constant on the music scene for decades, and his unique blend of folk, rock, and country has won him millions of fans. When someone records music as raw and personal as Young’s, many assume that the singer has had a difficult life, and in Young’s case, that is undeniably true.
Young suffered from polio as a young child, and medical issues have continued to follow him through his adult life. In addition, he has had some high-profile relationships that ended in disaster, and when he tried to make music to honor his son, he ended up getting sued. Here are some sad and tragic details about Neil Young.

We all have ups n downs in our journey here. Being rich n famous doesn’t mean you don’t have problems. Money can’t stop the voice in the head (mental illness) or polio, cancer and a million other things. Those things do not discriminate and Neil definitely had his share. Thank you Mr.Neil Young for all your great music. I can’t get enough..! Good day..!

I am also a massive Neil fan. It truly is tragic what happened to Pegi. Pegi said she was totally taken by surprise by the divorce-the same thing that Carrie Snodgrass said. People fall out of love all the time, so I'm hesitant to take Neil to task. But, I do have a hard time with how callous the whole breakup appeared to be. She didn't pass 2 years after the breakup-more like 4 years. She was also writing an autobiography, which I doubt was finished. It's hard not to think that she died of a broken heart.

He takes his son on the road with him all the time. He had a special bus made just for him. It's incredible the way he treats him. Maybe he doesn’t go like he didn’t handle his aneurysm. Neill plays a big part in manufacturing his own bad karma. Like the way he was flighty with his buddies Crosby Stills and Nash. He left them high and dry and many crucial concerts. He was there then he wasn’t there which prompted the eventual term by all the fans Crosby, Stills, Nash and sometimes Young.

It is very interesting to heard all the different aspects of N.Young's life problems I think it's in his character it's in his inner heavy power will which is transformed him to a real fighter & makes him able to achieved success & not retreat it's this inner tenacious power that makes him go on fighting for survival & no matter how hard sometimes it is by the way I love his music so much that I keep some C D S in my personal collection .

I want to feel for him but leaving his wife for Daryl is wrong.
Edit: I don't think Neil's a monster. I was actually broken up thinking this a video to say he died. Neil's an amazing person but couldn't handle what Peggy was going through. I guess they were just not meant to be. Plus it would've been worse to be in love with another woman and stay in a loveless marriage.

Why is it wrong? Sure it must have been hurtful for Pegi (and I feel sorry she had to endure it, especially so publicly) but if you're not in love with someone anymore then ending it is surely the best solution

Olivia When you put like that, I guess its fair. I can relate. I once had a wonderful girlfriend I wanted to marry but eventually I stopped knowing her and the spark was lost so I ended it. Its actually even hard for me to date other women as Im still in love with another ex. So yeah I understand what he was going through

@@wardcochran1702 As a long time dedicated Neil fan, I was devastated by the divorce, but what Olivia says is true. Pegi was an amazing woman, but sadly, she had issues that she could not overcome despite treatment. Neil hung in there a long time, but had enough. Says a lot about the amazing guy he is that he lets the public see him as the bad guy rather than air her issues in public.

I never really got into Neil Young's personal life to be honest with you I could care less. But I always got into his music I've been listening to Neil Young since the first album I bought after the Gold Rush when I was 15. Even today the stuff that he's doing with Willie Nelson's son. It's so cool always like Neil Young's music I liked his lyrics and his passion. I never get tired of it and never gets old on me it kind of sticks Like Glue. All I know is Neil Young it's been a part of my life for about 50 years and that's a long time of rock and roll and he still in it and I don't know anybody who can play a guitar like Neil Young he's got his own style and his own class long may he run I wish him nothing but happiness in his life cuz it sounds like he's had a pretty rough road when it comes to women. That's just the way it is for some people. I just wish him a happy life. And keep on rockin Neil cuz I know you're going to do it till you drop.

Hey man. There's a lot of good music out there we're still Rock and Rollin even though we're old. I think you would like this so check it out it's on UA-cam playing for change. It's starting to catch on Ringo Starr got on it and some other artist Willie Nelson Sons on it and it's really cool it's videos of musicians from all around the world they're all performing one song and they bring it together and it's beautiful. It's so cool the world is so f up right now. It's kind of nice to see something positive going on in the world like it was when we were growing up. So take care man check it out I think you'll enjoy it peace love and long may you run. What I'm trying to say is they take one song they're recording it but inside a studio. There's different people and they are in different countries playing instruments and singing and they bring it all together into one video. It's about peace and love and Community we all live in a world as one it's so cool I said anybody check it out. I think they have 1.5 million subscribers.
