- Majboor 1974 is a film about ravi khanna who lives with his widowed mother, wheelchair-boud sister and brother. he just has 6 months of his life as he is suffering from a terminal brain tumour. in order to better his family's financial condition he takes responsibility of a murder which he hasn't commited. he gets a ransom of rs 5, 00, 000. he undergoes a surgery during his imprisonment period. now he wants to save himself from the death penalty so he runs away from the hospital to find the real murderer.

This and 'Benaam' were underrated because they were not typical masala films. Indian audiences are terrible. They prefer trash like 'Mard' and 'Kalia'.

Terrific film.Loved it completely. Hats off to Salim-Javed for the fabulous story, screenplay and dialogues. Ravi Tandon's direction is of the superior class. Amitabh Bachchan has delivered a great and neat performance. Parveen Babi is beautiful. Pran has taken the film to the next level with his outstanding act. Macmohan and Farida Jalal are good in the supporting roles.

Lala k sath yeh film dekhi thi pehli baar. Ab jb bhe dekhon to woh hostel ka waqt yaad aa jata hai. Aik behtareen waqt.
