Superhit Hindi Movie Bandhe Hath (1973)

Synopsis: Shyamu is an orphan, living with his mentor, and has made stealing his career. While his mentor is recuperating in hospital, from a fracture, Shyamu decides to go straight. He is mistaken for popular writer, Deepak, and is met with considerable respect. To his delight, to comes across an ailing Deepak, whom he resembles. Deepak is ill and soon passes away, and Shyamu takes on his identity, and begins to romance the beautiful Mala. But a certain police inspector, Kumar, is interested in Deepak, and is convinced that the person masquerading as Deepak, is really someone else.

O.P.Ralhan surely had a talent for making movies. this one comes with a slight hitchkokian touch.Ralhan is the best actor in the movie.but Bachchan also delivers above par.the song o majjhi re sparkles .yeh mere bandhe haath is also good. 6.5/10.

Nice gripping movie. Good performances by all actors. Mumtaz looks absolutely gorgeous with nice performance. While shooting this movie she gave her Mercedes car as gift to then struggling Amitabh Bachchan. Truly great gesture by Mumtaz. Amitabh has still kept that car with him gifted in 1972❤. I wish they could act in more movies together❤

Amitabh Bachchan has fond memories of an act of goodwill shown to him by Mumtaz, who was already a huge star and Amitabh was still a struggler in the industry. Amitabh owned a Fiat at the time and often wondered what driving a Mercedes-Benz would be like. One day after pack-up, Amitabh noticed his car was missing, and was told by Mumtaz's driver that 'Madam had left in his Fiat.' The driver then handed Amitabh the keys of her Mercedes to use for the night.
