The classic climax moments of this legend actor are not going to come back......
And the sad version of the song " Aye aasmman bata" sang by Mahendra Kapoor is really very soul touching where definitely your tears will roll out with the goosebumps ....
And the background music of the trumpet composed by the the maestro Punchamda are the remarkable moments....
Overall Big B and Dilip sahab no doubts are the Master piece..

Raj Babbar was the first choice and selection for the role of Big B in this movie. But, I cannot imagine anyone else than Big B for the role of Vijay. What a movie with Amitabh Bachchan as a son Yusuf Khan.

Shaktidid not perform very well at the box office but whatever success it tasted was just because of Dilip Kumar and AB were a part of the cast.

The beauty of this movie is Dilip Kumar playing Amitabh Bachchan's father and Amitabh Bachchan playing his son. Can't just imagine any other combination for these two characters.
One of the best movies of all time. For the 1st time not sure who acted better, Dilip Sahab or Bachan Sahab. Both are ❤

Fun fact. Farz aur Kanoon, starring Jeetendra and Raj Kiran based on the same plot was released on the same year. Both were remakes of Thanka Pathakam. While Shakti was considered average, Farz aur Kanoon became superhit. But, Farz aur Kanoon is forgotten and Shakti is still remembered. Raj Kiran did the role that Amitabh Bachchan did in Shakti.
Just because Shakti had really superstars and legends. Also Raj Kiran was the villain and In this movie Amitabh was driven to the wrong path by his own father.
@@ronaldranjeevanand8313 Jeetendra was also a superstar. And Jeetendra had a double role in it. Raj Kiran was anti hero, not villain. Even he blames his father, same like in Shakti. Kader Khan was the villain in it.
But Raj Kiran was the villain he was wrong throughout the movie while Amitabh was suffering because of his fathers honesty. Jetendra was not a superstar but a star a very good actor liked by many including me and my family but he was nowhere near Amitabh bachchan and Dilip Kumar. Yes that move was superhit because it was more entertaining and Shakti was bit too sad. @@lostlove3392

Shakti was a reworking of Deewar, also written by Salim Javed. Ganga Jamuna is the movie with the plot these movies used. I always call the ending in these movies the "Mother India" ending.
