Removing the air bag made getting to the top actuator a lot easier on mine. You can see it a lot easier and get to it a little bit easier that way.
where can i find a video on taking the dash apart for the 3rd one?
I have replaced my blend door accuator both the top and bottom on pass side i fixed the issue and the air came from all vents for about a week then stopped working again what or why is this happening do i need to replace the other two as well?
Fixed! Thank you so much!!
Can you show how to reset the actuators after you’ve replaced them?
What does each actuator do? I saw a third one more on the right side of the glove box.
Im betting both of mine went bad but this video made it seem less scary to replace... i shall do it
We also have a video of us replacing the top actuator for you to review.
@@MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC just got done today with identifying and replacing the upper unit, even with twink fingers I have I could not get the topmost screw to come out... said f it and hung it by the single bolt
@@tie2tightTake airbag out like in his other video.
where’s the screen from i need it asap
There are 4. 1 on the driver side and 3 on the passenger side
Right! That's what I told. One near the blower
Yep. It would be nice to have all four part numbers and an accurate description of what all four do.
I have a question Rockauto is showing the following part numbers for
MOTORCRAFT: YH1870 Defrost mode 2 require per vehicle.
YH1869 MODE and YH1865 BLEND.
the clicking is coming from the same actuator in the video you worked on as well. I just don't know which one on Rockauto under Motorcraft I need. It is showing three for the Motorcraft.
The defrost actuator is located behind the instrument cluster. The other three blend door are behind the glove box. The one on the blower motor fan is for recirculating.
@@MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC Okay so the defrost one is behind the cluster, which is the more difficult one. Now the one I took out yesterday which was the one in the video, when I turn the car it did not click anymore. My problem is I don't have any documentation on which actuator is which. It's not written on the parts or anything and Rockauto is showing parts for (blend, mode and defrost x2) I don't want to buy two modes, or two blends and be wrong.
@@MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC I’m under the glove box now. I found the three actuators. My issue is I don’t know the type of the three. Are all three blend. On rock auto it says ( blend, mode and a defrost). I’m only trying to replace the three under the glove box.
Mine is the left control that doesn’t work, which actuator is it? Thanks
Did yall find out?
Hey Martin, the fan control for mine only works on high settings, the far left control. Would you happen to know the actuator part number for it? Great channel and I’m using your videos for reference on how to remove parts on my 2008. Keep up the good work.
It sounds like the blower motor resister has gone bad. Here is our video on how to replace it. ua-cam.com/video/WnkrpeE6ogE/v-deo.html
So the one replaced in vid is for defroster?
What is the part number for the top one? The defrost I believe
PP-GF30
And below it has the number 8
My 06 mustang clicks from the arm by the belts when I have the AC on, please how do I fix it?

My ac on my 2010mustang gt is hissing when it’s on and when i turn it off it’s making that knocking noise any suggestions?
It is possibly an actuator. There is one behind the instrument cluster and three behind the glove box.
can you cancel it out?
If I disconnect it and it still makes the noise can it still be the one I disconnected?
No.
My 2006 mustang heater stopped working clues ?
Check your level of antifreeze to see if it is low or empty in the overflow container at the front of the car.
