Got to admit. I never thought much of Ryu in the previous seasons but after watching this season, she rocketed right up to Best Girl in my opinion.
Bruh she was straight 🔥 during the Wargame arc in season 2.
And I'd like to agree she's best girl, but Mikoto edges her out by a hair in my book. It's close, really close, but Mikoto's derpiness combined with her eminent badassery is just too good a combo for me.
Ryu is peak, but a reserved one, she was always leaving her feelings apart only saying "I'm doing this cuz Syr likes him" instead of being more honest with herself saying "I'm doing this because I like him"
She gets some good character development and I love it

I agree. I listened Saori Hayami's voice for the first time in Genshin Impact(she is the japanese voice of Ayaka Kamisato),and is really great. Later,i listened her voice again in Demon Slayer as Shinobu,here in Danmachi as Ryu,and in some other characters. I agree that she is a great voice actress.

This is what happens when you put all your point into the charm but none into intelligent
I think it's just Bell is a simp for lady Aise otherwise he'd have noticed. Plus he did turn down Hestia's affection due to believing gods and mortals shouldn't be into an intimate relationship due to different life spans and death.
Just here to point out a few things:
1. Artemis from the movie is non canon so u can exclude her
2. Aiz certainly has a thing for Bell, but it's nothing romantic (yet). She adores him as if he's her pet (?) and as her student
3. Not 2 elves. One elf and one half-elf. Just pointing it out since it can get confusing
4. Not two Amazons. Aisha is like a big sister figure and Tiona has more admiration for bell than affection
5. Weine only sees Bell as a father/big brother figure and nothing more

Alfiya in Astrea Record refers to Aiz as the daughter of the dungeon. Aiz is literally created by her parents. Nobody gave birth to her as a child. This is the biggest intrigue of danmachi.

How many people think Bell should ditch every girl and just get together with Ryu?
That would actually be a satisfying conclusion to the series. From all the girls including Hestia, he chooses Ryu to be his lover. Honestly, after watching the season, these two do have great chemistry.
You know, I really have to wonder if Ryuu was actually planned to be the main love interest or plan B for Bell. I mean look at the similarities between her and Aiz, blond swordswoman with wind magic, lost everything to draconic abominations, mentored Bell, were rivals when both were active adventurers, and both are level 6 with different level up records, with Aiz being the fastest to level up before Bell came along and Ryuu having a double level up going from level 4 to level 6.
i think ur on to something. i recently finished LN19 and after how Ryu decided to change her name ( which Hestia was not happy about ^^) so she can keep adventuring after the Hestia/Freya wargame, i think Bell might end up with her at the end.

(Un?)popular opinion but Ryu looked at least 80% hotter/cuter with long hair. Definitely cuter with her Astraea outfit.

El escenario que narras sería factible si Aiz directamente rechazara los avances de Bell, pero, por el contrario, la historia trata de como Bell siempre está dando más y más pasos para acercarse a Aiz, con la permisividad de ella.

@@cayde7207 Been a long time since I watched the anime, but I believe the stories was the start of his inspiration to become a Hero. And then he accidentally ran into Ais wanting to prove himself to her. And bell's power is the higher his ambition the faster he levels up.

Possible spoilers
Reading volume 16 right now. I think it's about to get pretty wicked soon. Something from my intuition is telling me that Syrs is either Freya's sister, or is her human doppelganger that Freya uses to explore Orario. However, if she loses, she will lose her body and free will. Their separate personalities will combine, if not dominated by Freya. Freya knows her immortal body can't be involved with Bell, but what if it is a body of someone Bell is already comfortable with? However, the cover of Volume 17 makes me think, the feelings he has for Aize will spill over on the night of the Goddess Festival, resulting in the hunt of Hestia Familia. But based on some of the images I've seen on volume 18, I felt like I could be completely off. From Syrs own monologue it makes me not believe she is evil, but by the way Freya Familia refers to her, it makes me think otherwise. All grade A adventurers referring to her with such honorific. Even for high and mighty elves who think themselves above all but their goddess. Idk, I'll revisit this comment when I finish volume 16
