- I had a few projects to do this past weekend so I just wanted to give everyone a glimpse of the kind of cool hotrods I get to work on. Back when I was a full-time mechanic, this was just my basic routine day. Nowadays, I'm more selective on what I work on but I do still manage to keep myself busy since we don't have a dragstrip anymore. I managed to get quite a bit done this weekend but ran out of time on the '50 Chevy Fastback so stay tuned for an update on that...

No, the GTX belongs to a good friend. I "retired" from being a mechanic many years ago so now I only work on cool stuff like race cars and muscle cars. I actually do a lot more than what I catch on video, LOL. The problem is, I start working on something and by the time I think of shooting video, I'm almost finished with the project. For instance, I degreed in a couple of camshafts recently and both of them had irregularities that would have made for great learning/teaching videos. I'm slowly getting used to hitting the record button though ;)

If you're gonna tune on the GTX look into the FBO timing plate if you don't already know about it. I think you will like it.

Kris, I have a Samsung Galaxy S20. I also have an old Go-pro Hero but I have not used that for vids recently. If you look at my older videos, I used the Go-pro inside my race car for that "in car" experience.
