in this video we are going to the Dubai Mall Rolex Store (which is the biggest Rolex Store in the world) and my friend E is buying the DateJust 126334. We are also going to check out some Zenith highlights and visit the F.P. Journe store to order another watch.
Also we are driving around in his super nice Mercedes SLS AMG which will become a future classic I guess.

What size is your wrist? Do you prefer the 36mm or the 41?
41 looks a bit too big on him. i think 36 for him is better.

Datejust 41 is actually 40mm, like the day date 40, if you measure it. It’s the datejust II and daydate II that measures 41mm.

I’ve just bought the 41 blue face with oyster bracelet as my first Rolex and I love it !
I was originally planned to buy a dj36 but after trying them on, I ended up ordered a dj41 instead. As I am more use to the contemporary size of my everyday wear 40mm Sub, and BLRO. FYI, I have a small 6.3 inch but extra-flat wrist measuring 2.3 inch across the widest area, so I have no trouble getting away with a 42mm. While I see you have a bigger wrist than mine, but a more rounded shape.
Dj41 is actually just 39.2mm roughly the size of an Explorer 1, the profile of dj41 is quite a bit thinner, hence it wears much smaller than my usual Rolex sport models.
My point is, if you can pull off, and feel comfortable wearing a contemporary size Rolex Sport models, then I see no reason why the DJ41(39) would not work on you. Cheers.

8:13 $9,900 in the USA. I purchased a couple of blue dials and just spent another $9,900 today on the silver dial version of the exact same watch.

White dial with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet is an underrated configuration
is there a reason why you would stick to the 36mm instead of the 41mm? i honestly thought the datejust would look kiddish-ly small but as it turns out even on your wrist, it looks pretty decent.

That blue dial looks really good on the DateJust. The white gold gives it a nicer sheen than stainless steel. And the heritage bracelet is nicer than the oyster.
The bezel is white gold. The bracelet is still steel.

@@erndgn5954 no, the bracelet is steel. Only the fluted bezel is white gold. Rolex does not currently make any Jubilee bracelet in white gold.
I would say the 36 is the one to go for. The proportions are slighty better

Both very nice, i have a Day Just, 36mm gold diamond dial jub band, i love it.
One of the most stressful days of my life was trying to decide between this or the black dial.
Ended up taking the black but I’ll definitely be adding the blue at some point.

The black looks best I think. I like the contrast with the hour markers and the Rolex crown. It looks a little sporty but you could wear it with anything. I have the money to buy one but would still wear my digital watch anyway because it’s more practical. Plus it’s not good to show off when taking care of sick and poor people.

I have the Rolex 126234 36mm blue dial DJ which fits my wrist perfectly.
Compared to the Vacheron the Rolex was just an average looking watch. The Vacheron was beautiful.
The Vacheron looked plain to me. I like the white Datejust with the Roman numerals.

this is exactly the spec I'm looking for :( close I came to buying one was in Las Vegas but they only had a white dial available. Not nearly as good as the blue one.
I have very similar wrists to you, maybe even a little bit smaller and I picked up the DJ41 (blue dial, Jubilee, steel bezel) today. Real stunner and the size is also fine, so you could also pull it off if you wanted to.

My first luxury watch bought in my mid twenties was a Rolex Datejust, blue face with jubilee bracelet and white gold bezel. It was in the 1990’s so it was 36mm. The 41mm looks a tad too big on your wrist.

@@TheDubaiExpat I’m biased though. The smallest piece I have is a Rolex 39mm OP With a blue dial. I have a 19cm wrist so I can get away with it. If I wore a 36mm it just wouldn’t suit me, at least that’s my opinion.
Conversely I own an AP offshore 45mm which is huge. It really measures well over 52mm and the thickness is at least 15mm.
I love the watch but it is not an everyday wear. It’s just too bulky.
I will say this though I prefer larger dials. But that’s just me. For you, I hope you will just get what’s right for yourself. Everyone’s different afterall!

I just got my DJ 36 same as yours and I ended up ordering the 41 as well but with the diamond dial. You only live once. Im keeping both of them . It was so difficult to decide.

I'm a south African expat and got the 36 and 31 mm SS black dialed datejust for my wife the 31 is fluted bezel and the 36 is round both with jubilee bracelet in marina mall abu dhabi. Hopefully I get a call for the 41 mm inshallah. Love the ending of the video with the Kazakhstani guy lol
