  • Located in the village square of Montriond, near Morzine, La Maison is a masterfully restored 18th-century property that marries historical architecture with modern luxury. Originally built in 1749, the chalet's design was revived under the guidance of locally-renowned architects, with a deep focus on maintaining the building’s historical integrity while incorporating bespoke, high-end features.
The restoration of La Maison focuses heavily on materiality and craftsmanship. The property’s original timbers have been preserved, and a central staircase hewn from 370-million-year-old Scottish stone forms the heart of the home. The design also draws influence from the French-Scottish connection, with custom Scottish furnishings and textiles integrated throughout the interior.
La Maison offers expansive living spaces that seamlessly blend tradition with contemporary luxury. The top floor houses an open-plan living area divided into three distinct zones: a lounge with stunning views of the Nantaux peak, a library with a fireplace, and a bar area complete with a full-size pool table. The kitchen is a striking combination of form and function, featuring a floating wine cellar and a professional-grade cooking space.
Incorporating both comfort and grandeur, the chalet features a spa with a swimming pool, sauna, hammam, and indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Bedrooms are cosy yet luxurious, each with modern en-suite bathrooms, while the entire chalet exudes an opulent and warm atmosphere, designed to be enjoyed equally by skiers and non-skiers alike.
