Wow guys. Easily the best moose hunting piece on UA-cam. Actually, the best hunting piece, hands down. The best thing about all your videos is the emphasis on the process, respect for the animal, and family. All edited and mixed in a way that makes you feel like your in a theater. Watching the scene focusing on John’s ear when the bull was coming had me holding my breath without realizing it. Really really well done guys. Hope to run into you when I’m upta camp. TJ

As a professional Moose guide here in Maine and someone that has been on many many moose hunts I want to express my immense praise for the quality of this video. Genuinely- this is EXCEPTIONALLY well done and captured a spirit of Maine Moose hunting that MORE people need to see this. @@huntingme I guide primarily up in 2,3,4. I hunt 4 and zone 8 a lot personally- our family has a camp in Northern Moosehead area. I was in zone 4 on the September hunt and we also were blessed with a nice 50" bull. Definitely hope to run into you all on the trail!

My dream is 48 years waiting. 48 years putting in for a permit, and not getting drawn. 18 years ago, Montana started a preference point system. I am hoping that having 18 preference points will get me drawn this year. I have been watching a lot of archery moose hunting videos, and this one is the single most meaningful for me. You vocalized what is in my head. Thank you for filming and posting this. I hope….

Real Maine moose hunting on foot in the big woods with a bow. Calling a nice bull in close, a well practiced shot with a special broadhead, can’t beat it. Memories for a lifetime. That young fellah will never forget it if he lives to be a hundred. Awesome video keep it up.

I've had a camp in zone 1 and hunted birds, deer, and many Moose hunts over 30yrs. We were at the lower end of the Depot rd. This is one of the best videos I've seen since people posted things like this on UA-cam. The experience of the hunt, and the reward is extremely emotional. And brings everything into perspective. Your video showed that. But until you are there, and involved, it is so hard to explain. But you came damn close. Congratulations!!

I was fortunate enough to experience the NMW moose hunt this September. You captured so many of the same perspectives, experiences, and emotions that it was uncanny. I watched this with my 8 year old son, and it was great for him to be able to visually relate to the stories I shared of my hunt. Thank you for putting this together for all to share, well done!!

We did, it was a complete adventure. After passing up a mid 40’s bull on day one we put over 70 miles on foot and took a 50.5” bull at the end of day 5. Had him packed out to the truck just after midnight. I posted a couple short cell phone clips on my channel.
Great emotion in your film as usual, it’s about the whole Hunting experience and you guys get it.

I love that you can hear the cameraman's heartbeat at 24:44. I took a cell phone video of a friend's moose harvest this year and you can hear my heart pounding in that one too. God I love that feeling. Great video!

This is amazing. I’ve lived in Down East Maine my whole life and dreamed about a hunt like this. Our hunt and video this year and even last year does not compare. Congratulations on this dream coming true. It aspires me to dream of such a hunt.

Wow, this is one of the best hunting stories and video I've ever seen, and I've seen lots! What an incredible job portraying the true ups and downs of moose hunting. I am an avid moose hunter here in New Brunswick, Canada. Our season only runs 5 days so I know the feeling of pressure that comes when you have a very short window to make things happen! At the end of the day, time spent in the deep woods, sleeping under the stars, is time well spent! Can't wait for more footage from ya'll, this has really got me pumped for this fall! Now that's a moose hunt. So many people in Maine just drive the logging roads all day looking in clear cuts. That is the prolly the most adrenaline you've ever felt in your life. My father in law bugs me to go moose hunting but driving 12 plus hours a day isn't hunting to me. That was incredible. Started watching you boys on real tree sea bucks and was hooked. Lived in Maine my whole life and it's great to see people like you doing it the right way and getting recognition. Truly incredible. And to have your family with you makes it all the more special I'm sure. probably even better then the dream when it all aligns like that. And now the work begins getting that monster out of the woods. Congratulations.

@@huntingme Really cool. I hunt with 7 uncles and cousins. We all have tags and go our separate ways (I live in Québec and 3 tags are needed to register a bull in the unit I hunt). The time we share scouting, at camp, butchering, etc is priceless.

It got us all in the heart too Diane! Respect for the animals we hunt us something we take very seriously, and hope all hunters do too. Every hunt, and animal we harvest is held extremely close to our hearts and something that we carry with us for the rest of our lives. Having those emotions is something we think is important to share with the world!

What hunting packs do you all use?
A piece of leather adds the finishing touch to sharpening a broadhead.I hate leaving the smallest scrap for the coyotes. I coyote hunt gut piles time permitting. Great video and congrats

All the pieces matter, it's all apart of the hunt and we want to show everything that goes into the life we chose. We left most of the organs for the woods, we carried out as much as we could and made sure to put it all to good use. Thanks for watching Brad!

I got my bull not far from there at all last year. I remember crossing that bridge a couple times during the week and worried a logging truck would come around that bend and clean us right off the bridge. Saw 60+ moose that week and walked more darn "clearings" with slash that was a sick game of twister. I hurt so bad that I hardly could walk for a week after but I am dying to get drawn again.
That bridge is amazing! We walked onto it and all of us kept looking over our shoulder to make sure a logging truck was Ganna barreling down. Speed limit says 15 but they do a solid 45 crossing that thing, no brakes.
We all felt a little sore after that hunt, but it was 100% worth it, and hope to be back up there again soon!

Not 100% sure, but we are sure it will be epic! John's son William was one of the photographers/videographers for their hunt, as much as we wished he could of been with us, we were happy to all meet up and swap stories at the end of the week
That was better than the average bull harvested up here that’s for sure. Job well done gentlemen and lady. Family emphasis is so important to me as well. Taking a massive animal like that is just fantastic. I’ve shot one moose in my life and it was a cow that had both her back legs broke the night before by an over the road salesman from New York. We heard the whole thing go down. We rushed to the scene and the first thing out of his mouth was my boss is going to kill me. This was the third one this month and the car is a rental. I was thinking maybe you want to cut ur speed in half mister. God bless you all.
