Growing up participating on Maine moose hunts and with a couple of my own under my belt, I have to assume it would be hard to judge size on some of these monsters. They would most all be a fine bull here back home.
I enjoyed your video fellas. You did exceptionally well for an unguided hunt in Alaska. I don’t know what the scoped rifle was but the other I assumed was a Marlin 45-70. Brought back a lot of good memories. Congratulations 👍
Seen a monster sized moose 🫎 😳 last fall. Didn't realize how big it was till I noticed a beaver house in front of it. Jaw dropping sized moose. I would see at least 1 super giant bull moose or cow every year or 2. Amazing animals & wilderness camp hunts to experience 1st hand. Enjoy more of Alaska's great untamed wilderness & wildlife.

You trophy hunters take a couple back straps for the novelty and the rest is handed out to the nearest village, the meat means absolutely nothing to you, neither does it to your clients in Maine so bs another moron lol. Absolutely nothing to do with what I’m talking about though, letting those bears all walk which you could afford to take out will kill calves in the future and if those calves are female you just eliminated countless moose with what they would’ve produced. Keep targeting solely the best genetics for a “trophy” and you will wipe out the genetics eventually for good just like in other states and provinces.

Nice moose, my guess is that the moose that ran away smelled or saw a bear, its reaction in my opinion wasn't how a moose reacts to a human scent.
