We’re true to our word - in this video, we weigh all the individual elements and see how Super Record Wireless compares to Shimano Dura-Ace and SRAM Red.
What do you think of Campagnolo’s wireless offering? Is that carbon eye-catching, or too bling? Let us know in the comments!

For those looking for it, the total weight we have is 2086g 🚲⚡⚙
Isn't everyone looking for it, since this is the point of this video? Typical influencer roadies and their IQ.
Haha was thiking the same 😂😂
"See how it compares"
So what was the total weight? do we have to jot it all down on a bit of paper and tot up?
Thats a epic fail right there😂😂😂
Was thinking the same, can’t they at least put some graphics in a table as well, massive F
😂 no kidding, watched the entire video expecting the total weigh reveal at the end and nothing….
Agreed 😊
I went back 4 times to check if I had missed the info in the video. I guess they forgot when editing. Indeed big fail😂
I love Campy but the Super Record Wireless is super ugly!
Smaller and smaller chain rings? Very unmanly!
and AG2R still using EPS crankset for racing ratio needs
so it will be fine~
And the pros have to use another chainset....
Yeah, it’s completely ridiculous how small they’re getting. I don’t even race anymore and I still prefer a standard 53/39. Cassettes have grown so much over the last decade that a standard chainset can accommodate 98% of terrains these days. I just don’t get the small chainring trend at all.
Like it,I started on campy but have DA now, this looks very intuitive
😂 love the scene when he said he wouldn't want to "foul up the rotors" with the chain grease on his fingers: instead of wiping or at least grabbing at the centerlock section of the spider, he does it anyway (if only on the edges).
I love the new group! I honestly would run the campy and/or dura ace only on road bikes. Any Italian brand bikes like pinarello, the bike needs to be paired with campy. I never run the sram on road and never will. I do run sram xx1, x01, and t type on my MTBs only and/or shimano XTR (i.e., XTR brakes with sram XX1 shifting).
What's weird with the 45/29 crankset? Equivalent to the 50/34 of old. Maybe weird in a groupset non-racers don't need.
Comparing it only with the other truly wireless groupset, it looks as though a lot of Super Record Wireless components are indeed lighter than the current SRAM Red AXS components, save for a few. Not enough for me change course though, I love the way Red AXS rides on my Madone, and Super Record Wireless is too expensive to even consider.
The total weight of the components in this video is 2,337 g, not 2,086 g.
My old 10 speed Ultegra rear derailleur (which is a shiny metal construction with no carbon fibre) weighs less than this. (Without batteries)
237,36 € for one of two spare /replacement batteries! No, thank you! No wireless 4 me, I stay with cables. I can buy a cable for USD 3.00 and can replace it by myself, even beside the road...
What's your favourite groupset? 👇
Campagnolo Super Record mechanical Shifting
Did I miss the total weight?
No - you need to get your pencil out.... I was hoping to find in the comments 😂
I got the pencil out so you don't have to. I make the total weight 2086g
@@bikeradar It's 2337 g. Did you have a chance to add up the numbers by yourself?
Splashing a chart with all the campy and dura-ace values all at once seems better - then spend the video talking about the data - watching you weigh stuff is boring.
I've always lusted after Super Record for my dream build dreams..... but no longer. Somehow Campy has managed to incorporate a lot of ugliness into this iteration.
Yeah, they lost their way when they introduced the current style chainsets imo
Good luck figuring out the shifting with gloves on in the winter though. Way too close and similar
You make a good point. If this is the case I'm sure we will update our thoughts on the groupset
Who is riding Campag SR in winter!?
For the moment, eTap is King and Queen!
So the spacing of the cassette is the same as the old 11-speed 11-29. Instead of smaller jumps between gears, like adding a 16T sprocket between 15 and 17, they just added a silly 10T sprocket. Non-interchangeable FD and RD batteries and cheap bushings instead of quality bearings are also not Campagnolo's best idea.
I love Campagnolo but mechanical they’ve lost there way with this group set and losing the button 😢 in my opinion 🚴🏻 Pete
... their* way ...
And the hoods still use handlebar clamps that look like what you’d typically see in your local hardware store lol. That’s just shameful when you get proprietary titanium ones on Dura-Ace.
Wow that front mech looks so big, not aero at all 🙈🙈🙈
It's quite a hefty unit
I'd be embarrassed to use that , the dérailleurs are massive sorry not for me 😅
Wow how elitist!
I did not know that it's possible for a derailleur to embarrass someone.
@@xd1be9nb7vikr! 😂😂😂
Isn’t the total weight 2530g
Your a bit late all this has all ready been done several times by other youtubers .
very very fkin late, if you ask me
You're* late ...
I watched this video so I didn’t have to get my calculator out… what a fuck up Bike radar 😢
2086g and ask nicely next time ☺️
man ngl its so uglyyyyy
Someone should loose his job at Campagnolo... What a shame, the previous Super Record was a benchmark, something to look for on a bike... I will never consider to install this absurd monstrosity on my bik.... Shame on Campy R&D....
Ugly, expensive, bushing pulley wheels? Pass.
Why would they opt for bushings? Any significant advantages over bearings apart from price?
@@williwacker2774 no, just price. They get gritty faster and need more cleaning than a sealed bearing.
So another video from a company that is obviously relying on advertising revenue from the manufacturers.... 10mins of waffle, nothing said about the outrageous pricing of this groupset. Lets remember that elctronic wireless shifting is cheaper to manufacture than mechanical (at the levers). This stuff is made in Taiwan.
The mechs in particular are ugly beyond belief, and an embarrassment to a company like Campagnolo that was reliant on aesthetics for so long.
The gearing on this groupset is not upto moderm standards, so cannot compete against Red or DuraAce.
Campagnolo are in a death spiral unfortunately, and not going to survive with their pricing against better opposition.
Lets again remember the stupid pricing and how ugly it is.
The comics need to shift back to advocating for the consumer,.not the manufacturer.
yeah no. Campa uses European partners and manufacturers for this group set.
Don’t buy campa. The quality is questionable to say the least
