I know, unfortunately, the amazing and extremely realistic blood pools from the first game still haven't been implemented. As well as Real-Time fluid simulations for the dynamic blood splatters that goes into nothing.
Did you post this on Reddit or ping the team on Discord? I advise this strongly, as your effort is greatly appreciated on my part. You should definitely do that with this and embed the vid in a message. Bug them until you get a reply, because this video sums up my feeling towards the detail in the game. If you're going to spend your time in a modern dark age chopping people and the undead up, there's going to be blood and guts, lots of it. Not just low quality placeholder systems as in the game currently.
I have already put it up on Reddit. Now i just need the other ones. Any help with sharing would be greatly appreciated as well. Because... well, i suck at signing up and stuff... but i REALLY want Techland to take notice. And also, i 100% agree with you! 😉
The blood in dying light 2 can trickle in different directions through cracks of the asphalt. Also in dying light 1 as the blood is dragging. In pools as you kick the body across the the ground it would be way more of a smear and it doesn’t do that either…. The dismemberment was more satisfying in dl 1 and the fact you can chop the body up . But the fact you can cut any zombie in half with a blade is actually very unrealistic. Unless it’s a fucking katana so dismemberment jn dying light 2 is more realistic I do wish they added more damage animations of the zombies in dying light 2 as you are swinging at them instead of just just blood spurts and dismemberment’s . If they combined violence animations from dl 1 with the accurate dismemberment and make you feel like you are actually swinging at a walking corpse that has dried and skin is hardened from the sunlight of dying light 2. That be incredible maybe they will add more violence animations on the bodies soon . I notice if you swing and cut zombies bodies. There clothes tear and more visible damage starts to show up however not as visible damage like dying like 1.
They are both indeed realistic in some parts... DL 1 is just the best. Don't know if you've uh... seen real people get killed, but when i tried to search for a video of a person actually getting killed out of curiosity, the blood pool look a LOT like Dying Light 1's pools.
Dying light 2 needs huge adjustement on the gore and the blood its so disappointing
Thankfully they said that it’ll get an improvement, don’t know if they’ll make it slightly better or just as good as DL1 gore but we can only hope

Yeah dying light 2 is 1000% a downgrade in the blood and gore department. Super super dissatisfied with it so far.

Dying light 1 impact and fighting and gore are way much better than dying light 2 ....sadly
