Some of the most barbaric was hanged, drawn and quartered but inside of Paris there was an infamous and terrifying structure which was used to display dozens of executed people. The Gibbet of Montfaucon was used for centuries and it was a huge structure that would see people strung up from the windows, and it was a sign of the King's power. However each day people would pass by the sight of the executed people's remains rotting.
