It's not an Iron Maiden - It's a gibbet!

  • In this video, we examine the gruesome history of the gibbet. The gibbet was both a barbarous method of displaying corpses as a criminal deterrent, and, a hideous style of execution. We take an up close , personal, and hands on look at this unusual replica from Thak's rental inventory. Subject matter discussed is graphic and not suitable for young children or the faint of heart.

Most of it is made with 1" by 1/8" flat bar, with a bit of thicker material around the waist and in other critical areas.

Mate it is pronounced "Jibbit", with a soft 'g'. We English know, because we invented it. Americans total mangle and misspell our beloved language (English is also from England not America!)

The gibbet, pronounced with a J sound is correct - we (the English) invented it, so we can call it what we want.
