- Here’s John Philip Sousa’s classic march "The Stars and Stripes Forever," performed on an Oak Park lawn for a neighborhood audience, by a socially distanced wind ensemble of musicians from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera Orchestra and others. CSO horn David Griffin and his wife, Lyric Opera acting co-principal clarinet Susan Warner, organized a concert of patriotic favorites, led by Miguel E. Rosario-Vega, director of bands at Valparaiso High School. “It was like being in a Norman Rockwell painting,” according to Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune. What a fun little performance! Great idea!
Beautiful brought tears to me
Thanks
Listening to this through my work! Got my hopes up!
❤️
That was an amazing performance they put up out there, I just fall in love.
Can't wait to go back to the Orchestra Hall!!
That’s my kind of front porch concert. Please do another of these in Lincoln Square!
Live music is the best, I can't imagine life withoutit. Praying a vaccine is found sooner so live performances with audiences can begin again.
Bravissimo!!
Nothing like a stirring Souza march to get the blood flowing!
BRAVO!!!!!!
Love the way the piccolo players get to (have to?) stand up!
When playing solos, it is traditional for the players to stand up.
Thank you for only having the trombones stand!! I hate when I see bands allow the trumpets to stand with the bones. It's their line and feature of the song!
В России тоже слушают эту музыку!!!! Хороший оркестр и дирижёр!!!
Can’t miss Bobby Everson on percussion! ☺️
I don’t care for America at the moment but I love this.
👏👏👏👏👏🇺🇸🇦🇷🎼🎵🤡🙏🦅🕊️💕Bendiciones a EEUU... Amen.
Hey band class
Look at who’s performing this it’s no ordinary band class Lmfao
The cymbals are killing meeeeee! The pics are out of tune outdoors too! LOL. I do appreciate the effort to boost morale during the pandemic! Thank you 😊
