I know way to many people who make characters or places that could have there own book series
God that intro gives me shivers. This game has the best sound and music I have ever witnessed in all video games I have played, and it must be thousands by now. It fits perfect.
By the way, the things you explain are great, I guess a lot of people dont have any idea how the mechanics of this game work. I played it for quite some time, but still didnt know some of the stuff you told. And it doesnt disturb at all

Bumpy ride as I expected. A stagecoach picked me up. Well, me and Jeff. Two others were on board already, Kebab and Lauchlin. Good, I thought. They aren't pretending to be me. To be Jeff. Let's hope they prove more usefull than my previous "allies". We also picked up another, Aryasha. However, thats all she said. I don't like that. But even worse was the driver, for as we started leaving he said "You 5 have fun, hehe.". Did he mean Aryashas bird, or Jeff.

Week: 1
Log:
I made it to this hamlet where there are rumors of strange powers and odd occurrences. The town seems to be in a state of near ruin. I joined up with this kleptomaniacal knight fellow named RevereTheEnd and a rather sketchy looking man with a knife and pistol named Brooks Layfield, as well as this brutal looking Nun named Gray who arrived into town with me.
We ventured into these old ruins in search of more knowledge of one of these fellows' ancestor and found the undead and some cultists. That Revere fellow seemed to enjoy taking things for himself that he hid away very quickly. I will need to keep watch on him. The others all did well, but this floating, nearly bare-chested female cultist made me lose my focus for a second when she attack me. My poisons and acids did quite a lot to the skeletons in the final room, but one of them threw its goblet at me and I could feel myself losing resolve there. Luckily it was killed quite quickly and we all got out with a decent supply of gold and relics.
I retreat to the abbey to study and write. Perhaps clear my head of some of this self-doubt that has always plagued me. Am I a man, or am I woman? Mother always said I was a girl, but I'm not so sure. I don't find men attractive and I certainly don't feel like a woman where ever I go. Others seem to think I am so I let them call me as such, but I don't like it. Perhaps one day I can find a way to change myself, but for now I must recuperate.
Oh boy, it's going to be a wild ride...

I have already made preparations with the graveyard and discussed with the Caretaker how big it will be.
My smile widened when he said *Not sure, but just in case be ready to expand if needed*, ahh cant wait to get to work, to see all those fools in their final hour as I will be the one who will send them to their final destination.
My hAnds are shaking from excitement, cant Say for certain about the caRETAKER, HE looks Pretty bummed or Concerned about the first departUre.

Journey Log 1 (first time doing this hope you enjoy.).
I just finished a job, killed a pack of wolves who was terrifying the town of Rottadum. 20 dead dogs, bagged and tagged,
blood dripping like a broken wash tap. I returned to a town called Edge-stone, a town of pride, lust and greed. A town
of the kind which would make Las Vegas blush. I headed to the quest guild to turn in my work. 20 gold per head, 400 gold
altogether, it would do.
I still did not felt satisfied, i was promised a fight with danger and excitement, not "taming" a bunch of strays.
Before I left the guild master mentioned of a place called "The Hamlet", a place that made Edge-stone look like the Vatican.
A place where i would get my fill of blood, death and debauchery, Yum! A stagecoach would take me to location and hopped aboard i did.
The road was not the smoothest in fact it felt like the stagecoach driver was either drunk of possessed. there was just myself in the
coach, so curiously i look outside, in fact there was no driver just horses running mad. seconds, the coach crashed luckily found myself just outside of the hamlet. What horrors would await me, no one knows, I would have to search the darkest of the Dungeon to find out.

Log: Caretaker's Personal Journal
I have served this house for many a generation. I've seen it at the peak of gilded glory and I have watched it fall to ruin. Those ungrateful worms that stormed the manor to arrest Master Darkest have left their dirty scuffs upon it. Master got the last laugh. They were denied their satisfaction of a kangaroo court and the hangman's noose will be empty. He took his life at his desk as they clawed at the doors. Oh yes, the desk. I will have to ask the maids to clean it all later. As for the blood of Ambrosius Wayne Darkest's final farewell? I've polished it as well as I could. The younger Darkest, Christopher, will just have to watch his papers until it dries.
Christopher Odd Darkest. The Master's young ward from afar. Carries the family name, yes, but not the prestige of his accursed lineage. He is a young man of many talents. Studied tactics and management at a grand military school I believe. The pedigree of an officer or so I have been told in correspondence with his superiors. He is also a natural charm and entertainer. He will do well in this role. He seems a natural fit to command. Almost, strangely, as if he has faced such wretched beings before? No! Never mind it at all. Musings like that are folly.

Record entry to the Pnakotic Manuscripts: Chapter V, Week 1

I accompanied Lord Christopher 'Odd' Darkest to his estate in the body of Habib Alhazred, while Habib is brought up to speed on the threats that we are up against. Lord Darkest already sent a party into the ruins to gather heirlooms and secrets, but so far little has come of it. Among the team is are two crusading religious zealots, a rogue, and a scientist studying pathogenic illnesses.
Far more important is what the stars predicted: a fragment of a comet containing a Color has landed on the farm on the outskirts of the estate. This Color no doubt seeks to challenge the evil within the estate, and this cannot be allowed to happen, for such a struggle would doubtless make this world uninhabitable like Yith before it.
Until I have more information, I cannot chronicle anything more. I will inform Lord Christopher that the comet is dangerous, and he is aware of it but does not feel that his warriors have the strength to challenge it, yet. I believe he is correct, and thus, for now, I have done what is needed of me.
Awesome! Looking forward to see your strategy against the Countess later on! The hardest boss in the whole game imo, i'd even say, very much broken/OP!
It's been a while I watched Keith Ballard do a full play thru of this when it was in very early access back in February of 2015. it's a damn good game especially when you get some one who loves the the game as much as he did back then. but after playing thru it like 4 times repeatedly after every update I think it's jaded him from ever playing it again and that is a sad thing he's so good at playing this game and was a joy to watch . here's to hoping odd can get in to it as well it's going to be a hell of a play thru if he can. did I mention how much I love this game !

I always do enjoy when people can give certain personalities or quirks to characters to these vanilla and modded characters it makes you more invested in them and care about them more.

Upon my arrival at the hamlet, the readings from my Automatic Oscillospectromiasmometer Version 6.2.3 have only further convinced me that the root cause of its inhabitants' myriad problems must lie, as so many social ills often do, in unchannelled lustful humours. That our esteemed Vestal has developed a ‘love interest’ at the brothel immediately after returning from her first sortie is proof of my hypothesis. It appears that the party encountered a necromantic cult in the ruins with their skeletal minions and swiftly defeated the opposition. In my professional opinion, such talent with matters of the occult is wasted in service to a ‘higher power’. While I do not disparage others’ freedom of religious belief, the cultists’ blind loyalty will only lead to their defeat and death. If they had chosen to found a lewd fertility cult instead, they would have experienced little friction with the hamlet and even found many happy converts from more chaste denominations…like our Vestal. For now, I am happy that she has found relief from unnatural deprivation and not added to the infernal energies infesting this place.
Alas, my expertise in dealing with the latter is better than the former. The Caretaker calls upon me to join the second expedition and I must gird my loins, repressurize the ectoplasmic canister and prepare to do battle with more corporeal foes. Perhaps we will inherit some new subjects of study…not to mention treasure… as a result of their hubris.

I wonder if enemies encountered outside the dungeons are monster explorers. They have this dungeon that they have to explore upwards and when they get to the portal and the land is unnaturally bright so they have to wait till dark. And there featureless creatures screaming ath them and attacking them.

Nice video. One thing bothers me in this game. If you grind your level up, your characters will straight up say: "Nope, I can't enter this dungeon, it's too low level for me."
I love RPGs when you're allowed to grind your levels, making the game easier.
