Bakugo is actually the most popular character in Japan. Bullying is seen a lot differently there, and in general it's not uncommon for characters that are garbage human beings (like Katsuki) to be popular because they are funny, have a cool design, or any number of reasons. So far Deku seems to be the most popular with western audiences followed closely by Todoroki, but Bakugo still has plenty of fans here. People just like different stuff in characters. It's like how some people love Mineta and others despise him. I think he's funny, but I know plenty of people who can't stand the way he pervs on Yaoyorozu.
It is not exactly correct - there are multiple people who love Bakugo and they live in western countries - it isn't cultural thing, but people can acknowledge how good of character he is. People who think that Midoriya is better are just following mindlessly shounen stereotypes - agreeing with anything that protagonist does, justifying everything by his action. Midoriya is usually wrong when it comes about arguments with Bakugo. The only bad side of Bakugo were that he made fun of quirkless Deku, and had a little to big of the ego at the beginning of the series. But when he loses those traits he really becomes the best student character in the series. Also Todoroki has a big following mostly because of the Tournament and Stain Arcs - he really became boring after that, with almost no interesing development.
Notice I pointed out Bakugo has plenty of fans in the west, but I have to call BS on the rest of that post. People like Midoriya for lots of reasons, and nobody I've seen think he's a perfect character or never makes mistakes. Quite the opposite. Even people who love him will comment on things like his early indecision or tendency to get way too emotional. Conversely, if you think that the only flaw with Bakugo is that he "made fun of quirkless Deku," you've got some massive blinders on. I'm not saying there aren't reasons to like him, but there are plenty of reasons for people to hate him, too. He's incredibly selfish in his Endeavor to be a hero. He bullied Deku for years and even egged him on toward suicide. He treats the people around him like dirt and even puts the lives of fellow students in danger during training. Long story short, all the main characters are flawed, some more than others. Doesn't make them terrible, but it does mean it's perfectly justified when people don't like them.

I'm usually more of the sub than dubs person and will most likely watch the dubs version in the future. From most events in this video I was so trigger yet entertained when you said "sticky balls" for Mienta and "Is that all might talking" at the beginning.
