The non-indigenous community, in general, has not shown consideration for the sentiments of the indigenous Khasi people by not making an effort to call it Iewduh (Yewduh) and instead perpetuating the false name of the market. Nowadays, most Khasi people don't mind using the term Barabazar when speaking with non-Khasi people for convenience. I kindly request everyone to help preserve the cultural heritage and identity of the tribal community of Meghalaya and to educate others about the importance of respecting different cultures.

Just returned today from Shillong NEIGRIHMS to Silchar after my mother's treatment. I have heard a lot of good things about the hospital and this time I have personally experienced it. The people are so humble, neat and clean and so caring. My mom has improved a lot as a Brain Stroke patient. Here in silchar we spent lots of money in private hospitals (x,y,z ..) but the nursing is not up to the mark.

U can travel by meghalaya tourist buses they provides the office is in police bazar, they will take u to atleast 5 tourist destinations and the rate of the bus is quite cheap they will provide guides too , they take around Rs.400 upto cherrapunji..go and check the office once
Trains should be used for means for transport and convenience not for unnecessary over migration from UP and bihar or illegal immigrants when those people literally go other states without any job in hand and then enroaching footpaths for unnecessary shops, slums near railway station. Locals have enough shops in their city to cater them, they dont need footpath disturbance. The indian govt is fooling others with largest train network to dump poverty from two states or bangladeshi illegal immigrants to burden other states. Are other indian states penalised for controlling their population. If your city doesnt have railway station, u are lucky to not get poverty migration .
