Congrats John on the Quantum!!! I was there with you the whole way!! Your basement is looking AMAZING! It's really got a vector/80's tech feel to it now, always a treat to watch these, thank you
Just wanna add that Firefox was one of my favourite games when I was in High School.. it was in the cafeteria after Karate Champ and Gyruss, Big Guns, and Star Wars. All my favourites today. :-) Quantum was never released here in Sweden, I think.. never saw it at an Arcade, but I´m sure I would have liked it as much as I liked Paper Boy and Marble Madness! :-)
I think the 80s rock venue baseball 3/4 sleeve T-shirt idea is great and is a good way to stay up-to-date with the games that come and go and is a good collectors item.
Amazing history, with lots of symbolism. I remember I used to prefer space games to fighting games, exactly when Double Dragon came to the arcades, and then the fighting games invaded and put Space Invaders (pun intended) to rest. You brought Quantum back to where it always belonged. :-D Sorry english mistakes
Great video as usual The game room look amazing with this 2 new games. I have been using carpet pads as well for the past 6 months and WHAT a difference :-) I have a carpet in the game room, and moving them now is so much more easy.
Glad to see you got those cabs downstairs. Quantum looks fun but hard as heck. Great restore, too. Still think Firefox is awful-- but the restore looks great!
Sound of thunder. That brings up an important question. Do you utilize power spike protectors on any of your arcades? If not, should you? Granted, if a lightning strike is close enough to the main power grid, even the strongest protection will fail. Reminded of an event from my high school. Strike really nailed the grid. Blew every computer on the campus, except the main frame. It's top of the line suppression held up as the last line of defense. Fire Fox and Golden Tee, there to be flashy to all whom enter the arcade. Nice.
+John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech Love the tshirt idea . Can you put an arcade machine on the back maybe put the arcade games names in the arcade cabinet. I've always wanted a tshirt with an 80s arcade on the shirt. Will def buy one
+John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech you should paint it to look like a Troll or monster lurking in the back under the stairs, maybe have and arm extending out between Quantum and Mad Planets for effect
Hey, John! Thanks a lot for reading my viewer mail!! And about the t-shirt - that´s an awesome idea having like tour dates on the back. And I would definately be at GRINKERS if I were in US at the time... maybe one day, I hope.. :-) You´re the best - f**k the rest!! :-) Best Wishes from Sweden
LOL, was going to comment that Quantum looks like a cool game. I can see why it failed in the 80's but that it would make for a cool touch based game for iOS or Android and probably be successful today, but then you did it for me.
Hi John, I'm glad you got your quantum looking fantastic and totally original. You have the patience of a saint 😊 it's very muggy here in Ireland to. I have one question, have you any plans for your EM pinball machine soon?
Great video as always John, your arcade is looking good, nice to see quantum finished, What is the web site you keep saying about is it clarve or clafe. can't find in on google ;)
This is making me want to add Quantum and a trackball to my tabletop. I'm thinking of gutting a wireless mouse and using that to make a wireless optical trackball...
Gotta be super easy (and cheap) compared to building something. Would go a long way in the look of the arcade. Get those brofest videos up too man, it's been months ;-P
hey John it's 2016 not 2015 . Hey guy's time to step out of the basement!!! good episode you always worry and second guess your gameplay videos and you shouldn't it's nice to see you enjoy your hard work.
Looks amazing man! WTH is Adam?? Dan R nothing against you BUT Adam is the arcade mover here! Should have had a clip of Adam with movers gloves or something WHAT A RIP! ;) lmao
Q*Bert is now owned by Columbia Pictures since they bought Gottlieb in 1976. And now they owned the property after Gilbert G. Pollock bought Gottlieb and used it as a name by Premier. Now Gottlieb Development LLC owns the name and the D. Gottlieb & Co. name.
John, why was your Quantum and Pacman gameplay on John's arcade? These should have been on the John Sucks at Video Games channel. Ha Ha! Congratulations on the restoration of Quantum. Both Quantum and Firefox look good in your basement. With Mortal Kombat being the next game, are you getting rid of Your Street Fighter 2 cabinet next?
I dunno man lol....any game with a 6100 is worth it's weight in gold lmao...especially a beautiful Atari game like Quantum. More power to ya, your arcade but damn lol
the thing about vertex monitor games is you need to find the actual machine you can't use mame for vertex games I'm building a mame cabinet so I can play pacman and zoo keeper and a lot of games that use 4 way joystick
Was going to suggest forgetting about the Brofest video as it's apparently a pain in the ass to edit. But after a quick look on your channel overview, it's clear that this was one of the most viewed videos from last year. -- Why the hell do people like watching you hang out with your drinking buddies better than watching you sand Bondo?

Qbert is just one of those games that once you get it, you never sell it. It's a life long purchase. Such a great game that simply never gets old.
That Pac-Man intermission animation at 36:21 gave me a very happy feeling! :)
Totally! Love that! :)
John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech :D
John, you are my absolute favorite arcade game UA-camr! :)
The Tshirt idea with the arcade game roster on the back sounds really awesome. Great vid, John!
I think the 80s rock venue baseball 3/4 sleeve T-shirt idea is great and is a good way to stay up-to-date with the games that come and go and is a good collectors item.
Love the T-shirt idea. You could even make throw back shirts from your earlier years with the games that have moved on!
been watching your videos for years now and they never get old sir thanks for all you do.
Thanks, Bryan! :)
+John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech John you don't know the pattern on pacman? the pattern helped get to.the KEYS!,,,

Aw yeah!!! John is back :) being a arcade fanatic is so great :D
And John, I love the part where you talked about how that Pac-Man intermission animation blew your mind as a kid. :)
It really did. :)
John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech I believe you all the way. :)
Hey John, I could use some of that old popcorn. Lol. Keep the video comming. Thanks
Glad to see you got those cabs downstairs. Quantum looks fun but hard as heck. Great restore, too. Still think Firefox is awful-- but the restore looks great!
Pretty amazing how your friends created the emulation of the laserdisc.
Sound of thunder. That brings up an important question. Do you utilize power spike protectors on any of your arcades? If not, should you?

Fire Fox and Golden Tee, there to be flashy to all whom enter the arcade. Nice.
Nice work and nice presentation... as usual. Cheers, mate!
You need to make marquees for the appliances in your basement so that they fit in... "Super Water Softener" "Fridge Attack!" etc
lol. I like this. :)
+John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech Love the tshirt idea . Can you put an arcade machine on the back maybe put the arcade games names in the arcade cabinet. I've always wanted a tshirt with an 80s arcade on the shirt. Will def buy one

Quantum is your best restore. Congratulations!
Arcade is looking great dude, quantum is a great rare arcade in your collection.

I'd buy one of those shirts! That's a brilliant idea!
Yeah, great idea.
Hi John, I'm glad you got your quantum looking fantastic and totally original.
You have the patience of a saint 😊
it's very muggy here in Ireland to.
I have one question, have you any plans for your EM pinball machine soon?
you should definitely do the "rock concert" tee! I would buy one in a heart beat.
Great video as always John, your arcade is looking good, nice to see quantum finished, What is the web site you keep saying about is it clarve or clafe. can't find in on google ;)
Darren Neale KLOV
nice work on Quantum!!!
This is making me want to add Quantum and a trackball to my tabletop. I'm thinking of gutting a wireless mouse and using that to make a wireless optical trackball...
now if I could just get Bucky O Hare artwork. I have been trying to find it for three years
also, what's going on with the pole position in the garage?? any updates?
Ever think about hanging some dark "blackout" cloth behind the cabinets in that quantum corner, to separate the space in the basement?
Yeah, I should get some curtains or something. The thought has crossed my mind.
Gotta be super easy (and cheap) compared to building something. Would go a long way in the look of the arcade. Get those brofest videos up too man, it's been months ;-P
John you have to get Cold Beer over by Tapper! It looks stupid where it is now.
Yes they need to be in union, double fisted
I agree
hey John it's 2016 not 2015 . Hey guy's time to step out of the basement!!! good episode you always worry and second guess your gameplay videos and you shouldn't it's nice to see you enjoy your hard work.
Probably an odd question, but does the screen for PAC-MAN look as bright to the naked eye as it does in the video? I like how bright the maze looks
Firefox should have a separate high score table for each difficulty. So its probably saving the scores correctly.
Looks amazing man! WTH is Adam?? Dan R nothing against you BUT Adam is the arcade mover here! Should have had a clip of Adam with movers gloves or something WHAT A RIP! ;) lmao
49:44 journey starts to die .
Great work
Yr a brilliant dude with fantastic taste.
+jjwolfeday Thanks tons!!!
I cant find anything about allens arcade, do you have some infos?
Great shirt idea! would gladly ware one.

It may suck to get killed in Quantum but at least it looks amazing, vector graphics age pretty well.
Do you use the warm white, cool white or daylight fluorescent bulb?
The last batch I ordered was warm white. Cool white might be better.
+John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech: Looking forward to your Tempest repair!
Is it me or was something wrong with Journey at the end of the video?
Did I miss the t-molding replacement, or did you figure it wasn't worth a video since you already did it once?
Oh, I noticed your q-Bert has a bit of burn in.
FINALLY! THEY ARE IN THE BASEMENT! 😁👍
Did you try to play in the demo mode?
Did u get rid of Zenophobe already?
problem with pacman is your worry too much about getting ghost. worry about clearing over getting ghost.
Can't lose the hadoken! No way!
The fire fox screen looks crooked
Got rid of Outrun over GoldenTee? Yer killin' me John!!!! LOL
I play Goldentee more. :)
I dunno man lol....any game with a 6100 is worth it's weight in gold lmao...especially a beautiful Atari game like Quantum. More power to ya, your arcade but damn lol

JOHN! What is that song? Can we make up?
What happened to the dart board?

+John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech Firefox needs to be next to.its twin I robot.
the thing about vertex monitor games is you need to find the actual machine you can't use mame for vertex games I'm building a mame cabinet so I can play pacman and zoo keeper and a lot of games that use 4 way joystick
Cool!
there should be a quantumfan.com so all the quantums can be registered
