  • Hello everyone!
Many years ago I was lucky enough to be gifted a beautiful piece of Goldstone. In this video, I show how to make goldstone stringers, and how to tell the quality of your goldstone….or if you are looking for some!
It has such a lovely Sparkle! I couldn’t resist!
Thanks to you all for your comments, ideas, and tip sharing!
    You are all the Best!
    Xoxoxo

I have always found that pulling my own is the only Way to go! I have used the premade gold stone stringers before and they never really worked well for me. Thanks so much for your comment! 🥰🌹✨R-

Hi Shannon! I have always found it best to see and hold goldstone before I buy it… When possible! Do you want the brightest most sparkly is cold stone you can find

Ok… that doesn’t look right! What I meant to say was you want to buy the most sparkly and bright gold stone you can find! I am so happy that you enjoyed this video! Thanks for your comment, Shannon!

Another wonderful video, am going to try mixing my blue, green, gold to see what comes up...will review your videos to see if you have one on making murrini...

I love your idea of mixing colors. Nothing yet on making murrinni cane. But I have made quite a bit in the past.
It’s a wonderful idea and I will add it to my list! I’ll start simple?… honestly I don’t make very intricate ones. But I know the basics, like how to make letters.!
Thanks so much for your comments Roberta, I truly appreciate it! ✨🔥

Where do you buy These big goldstone chuncks?

Hello Hans! I was gifted these but if you search for “rough goldstone”, there is a great selection to choose from.
I’m so glad you asked….this is a wonderful material to incorporate in glass! You can also find it at most quality rock and gemstone stores.
There are some beautiful pieces out there for sale! Thanks so much for asking, Hans!
      Cheers!! R- ✨🔥🌹

      Scottwood Research Thank you!
Do you have any Problem That the goldstone has an other COE than your tube Glass?
Will ist become cracks After some time ?

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  2 роки тому +1

No problem, Hans! The gold stone can be tricky…. Too much and it can crack, to little and you don’t see it. That’s why I always pull stringers with it. Having the clear glass evenly around it helps in the annealing process. The stringers can also crack if you have to much goldstone to clear glass ratio. I hope this helps? 🤔 R - ✨🔥
