Absolutely true! We have been warned to be careful what tickles our ear... it's easy to hear something we prefer. What if there was no right or wrong (no evil), just what is right for me? It tickles the ear, but in reality leads to disaster. When we lose the ability to see evil, its not much different than losing the ability to recognize the difference between good food vs. poisonous food.

The devil truly is at work right now and the darkness and demonic are showing themselves in the open. But remember, so too will the power of the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, show himself through the form of miracles. I was scared at first for my children, having to grow up in a world with such easy access to Godless things, but I am now comforted, because if that is the world they will live in, they will likewise see Jesus and his miracles more than my generation ever knew or could have imagined.

This "man" will influence generations upon generations and will lead many astray with untruths. You were on the right path by saying pope John Paul, but not only him. See below points and discern who has fulfilled all the characteristics of the anti-christ according to the bible?
1. He shall sit in the temple of God, showing himself to be God or like God
2. He shall call himself all that is called God (High Priest, Holy Father, Jesus rep on earth etc.)
3. He shall be robed in purple and scarlet
4. He shall seek to change the law and the times
5. He shall dine with the kings of the world
6. He shall be adorned with wealth and in his hand carrying a golden cup full of abominations
7. The whole world will wonder after him. Who can be like this man? Who can defeat him?
8. He shall make many drunk with her wine(false doctrines)
9. He shall be given power to rule/defeat even most of God's elect

It is funny I ran across this. I had noticed during the pandemic all these depressing articles of the decline of the church, numbers, faith and so on. I remember detractors in social media under these articles delighting in the falling numbers and saying see if the church would only compromise, modernize and be what is popular then you would not be dying. I found this curious that supposed Catholics or those claiming to be of the faith were buying this. First off I don't think that people's love of God is waning, just the opponents have the microphone so to speak and are heard more and more. My response was I don't care if the whole world walks away (not that I would want that, for our mission is to promote the gospel and Christ) but if everyone tomorrow said to me your the last one of this hockey religion and defamed me and threatened me, I would just shrug and be like, I am a Christian, a Catholic and His ways are my ways and would still follow Him. Too many it seems now days are more concerned what media trend setters say or political figures or some pressure group of clever young people than what the Messiah taught about peace, love and purity of heart leading to salvation of mankind through Jesus. If it is just me, some old nun, and a priest at the end, well, so be it. I will still promote the good news of Christ and call all to the the super of the Lamb. Rock on.

Really appreciate Matt's efforts to keep Catholics aware of the fact that we live in a spiritual war. Unfortunately many in the Church today neglect the spiritual battle and focus only on doing good to thy neighbor. But are you really doing good to thy neighbor if you aren't helping and encouraging them to fight back against the evil one?

I thought it was brilliant as well. The church tends to shy away from matters of spiritual warfare because it can be discomforting. But, the church and its body cannot shy away from these topics if we are to develop a more complete understanding of God, His emissaries, His enemies, and His kingdom.
Love the book Father Elijah! The sequel was a bit disappointing, but Rather Elijah was excellent. Great recommendation! Excellent video.

I’ve read Father Elija many years ago in the early stages of my conversion of heart. The author was prophetic. At that time I didn’t believe the descriptions of the degradations of society and morals would happen as described through the book in my lifetime. Twenty three years later, here we are, living in those times. That book prepared me for all this. I feel shocked that we are living in these times already.

I received “Father Elijah” in the mail yesterday and haven’t put it down! Thank you for the recommendation. I’m on page 167 and just read this “...the mass of men have lost their bearings, abandoned all hope that there is anything beyond this material world. More and more they long for systemic solutions to ‘the problem of man’. They want totalitarianism without brutality.” Kind of took my breath away.

I literally burst into tears when you started reading what the Catechism had to say in this. Because that is exactly what I see and even my own temptations are just so intense. Believers are just losing faith around me and those who still go Church here don't seem to know right from wrong and appears everyone has been won over by the power of darkness. I just so emotional right now.
I didn't know that the Church in the Catechism has written so powerfully about the Antichrist.
I believe I am motivated to be stand up more firm in my combat against darkness.

I would add to your list of essentials to avoid being deceived is pray, pray, pray - pray the Rosary, invoke the protection of our Guardian angels, St Michael, St Joseph Terror of Demons and use the Sacramentals of the Church. We are so fortunate in our Catholic faith to have so many treasures and weapons with which to arm ourselves in this battle. All glory be to God!

15:06 St. Augustine constantly cited the growth of the Church as proof of its legitimacy. The argument doesn’t appear to work so well these days. However, you could still apply this to the spirit filled sectors of the Church. Some parts are thriving and some are dying.

Yes the Church is going through this right now and has been for some time now. I used to believe the bigger the better as well. However upon more learning or relearning that that is not the case.
I’ve always been one of those quality over quantity people. When thinking abt this one day. I heard Him speak saying the same exact same thing. Which makes complete sense. Just like we’re told don’t be lukewarm. You are all in or not at all. This is so true. We see it everyday. I tell others hold on tight cuz Gods just now starting to shake the tree. He shaking off the rotten and no fruit baring branches.

I had people tell me all of my life "you need to go to church or get back in a church". Then came the pandemic and all of these people would not attend, or resist government closings, out of fear. In my observation, the church is already down to few, when faced with fear.

If I'm not mistaken scripture tells us that the timing of the final confrontation is known only unto the Father. Try and live as if it could come at any time, and don't obsess with predicting its arrival as protestants tend to do.
