In this video we will show you where the coolant temperature sensor is located and how to replace the coolant temperature sensor on BMW e91, e90, e92, e93. Always replace the coolant temperature sensor when the engine is ice cold and the coolant is cold. It is recommended to drain the cooling system when replacing the coolant temperature sensor and bleed the cooling system after replacing the coolant temperature sensor. We demonstrated where the coolant temperature sensor is located and how to replace the coolant temperature sensor on 2006 BMW 325i but it should be helpful on multiple models.

Hi sir,
Morning i start my bmw till it's warm... i checked the upper & lower radiator hoses..they have the same T as ( no cooling process is active)... when i drive it for 5- 10 minutes, i noticed that the upper hose becomes ambient & the fan kicks on...
How do you explain this??

Is this the coolant temperature that you are replacing or the oil temperature? I thought the coolant temperature sensor was located in the sides of the cylinder heads? do you have a video on that one?

ive got a n46 engine, and ive got code 2ee0 comming back which says; tempature sensor engine coolant. i have replaced the sensor close to the startmotor, and the sensor on the bottom hose from the radiator, any other suggestions ? ive only read the code with bimmerlink, will also try to read it with ista to get some more info

Hi there I have a bmw 320d turbo 2012 e92 N47 coupe 2.0L AND MY FAN IS NOT WORKING AT ALL however when I drive aircon is cold and when I stop aircon blows hot so I am gonna replace the temperature sensor so I found 1 wich is above the egr but now I see that you have 2 that one on this video and another one close to fan hose so I am just wondering if my car have 2 sensor or just 1 ?? And any other suggestions about what can be faulty for my fan to don’t work I am from Australia cheers .

I have code P0128 on my bmw 325i 2006, thermostat clogged open. I replaced the thermostat and water pump as well. But I still have that code on my car? What should I do?
My coolant light is on but coolant is full and looks good what can be causing the light to turn on
On the bottom of the coolant reservoir there is a level sensor that sensor needs replacing
What can cause my water pump to keep running after car is off? And doesn’t stop, replaced water pump and thermostat and stopped for about 6 months then started again. So now I disconnect the battery for now so the battery doesn’t die. Don’t have any codes either just the o2 sensors since I don’t have catalyc converters

My car bmw e36 m40 1.8...always heating on the relay fuse box relay n fuse always hot...2 more then time hot n my temperature is always upper level half meters...what the solution...radiator ok,fuse i change new,relay i change new but still hot...if my temperature more then half my relay n fuse hot n heat....help me for the solution...

I have a bmw 08 335i and my car doesnt overheat. but after driving for 45min and the the temp gauge still in the middle. i get the Engine Malfunction on the screen. i ran codes and i m getting code 2EE3. what do you advise? if i turn the car off it drives ok again.

@@remonkamel3672 i had to bleed the coolant system . somehow the pump was not kicking in during the bleed process. i tried it 3 times and and on the 3rd time the pump kicked in and i was able to bleed the system. problem was fixed.

My e90 radiator fan when I drive a while like 10 min it starts going full speed and not turning off till power off the car even at cold weather
I did pump test all good did dignosist on computer no alarms could that be the coolant or thermostat sensor donno if both are the same .?

With such minimal coolant lost it would be pretty safe to say it will be okay to skip the whole bleeding the cooling system process.
With B.M.W's the cooling system needs to be bled.
With the car in accessory mode, foot on the gas pedal for 20 seconds and the heater on the highest setting the electronic water pump starts bleeding the system.
If this procedure is done and air is not vacated from the system the cooling system will not operate properly.
@@bfprecords make sure to have a power pack or battery to jump off as this takes up to 12 mins without engine power
@@antof1235 would I need to add any more coolant on top of this? Or would the amount of coolant lost be too minimal to matter
thats not a coolant temp sensor, its an Engine Temperature Sensor
