    Would you prefer to set these OTC hearing aids up yourself at home, or to see an audiologist and get help? Matthew

    • @cgrape22
      @cgrape22 11 місяців тому +3

      I'm so glad an audiologist package is an option. As a first time buyer researching and with tinnitus, I think I would opt for the audiologist package provided it is affordable and with some type of maintenance & care thrown into the mix. After I learned the ropes however, I think I would try setting them up myself in a future pair of aids.

      Hi Sennheiser. Whilst I completely understand that I will not have gained any favour with you as a result of my other comments, may I ask a completely genuine question about the Slim version of the product? With so much of the tech contained in the earpiece (receiver, microphones), why did you need to design such a large behind the ear section? It appears to be slightly slimmer than the standard model but considerably longer and possibly larger overall. Is there any possibility that you will be considering a completely in the ear version in the future, similar to the Sony cre-e10?

    These HAs are now advertised as available on Sennheiser's site. Hopefully, you'll post an analysis soon. Appreciate all your content. I'm psyched, yet remain skeptical. But I just might trial these since they're RIC and come with open domes ( no occlusion). As a musician, I've been using Sennheiser headphones exclusively since 1972.

    Matthew, just using the Hearing Tracker audio samples/sound performance measurements , how can the Sennheiser All Clear measure so poorly vs the Sennheiser Conversation Clear (1.0 vs 3.6 in the noisy room performace, for example), when the latter would seem to be marketed, priced etc as inferior, as not even a hearing aid, but as a non FDA-approved ear bud?

    the picture you posted, the charger is the same as for paradise and marvel. For me, who has Paradise, this means that I will still be able to buy a charger if mine breaks. Usually, the manufacturer stops producing the old accessories, so the person is forced to search on ebay.

    Do the standard-sized instruments have a telecoil? And can the rechargeable batteries be changed by the user themselves or will they have to be sent if they stop keeping a charge?

      Hi Juliette-- All-Day Clear will not have a telecoil -- interfacing with a telephone would happen over Bluetooth, on a Bluetooth enabled device such as an iPhone or Android phone. The battery is not user-replaceable, however, are designed and tested to last well beyond the warranty period.

      @@sennheiser: I personally believe that streaming isn't as important to we musicians as it is to be able to adjust as close as possible to a flat response while playing and mixing, based on our imported hearing audiogram. That would be a update for the app and HA functionality. Looking forward to trialing them based on my long term use of your professional headphones.

    • @peter7239
      @peter7239 11 місяців тому

      @@domenic323Regarding your final sentence, the Sennheiser name attached to this product is nothing more than marketing. These aids were developed long before Sonova acquired any interest in the Sennheiser company. Sennheiser has already made it clear that the aids are primarily designed for voice only, which is unfortunate for musicians and audiophiles.

  • @peter7239
    @peter7239 11 місяців тому +2

    Hi Matthew. I have posted my comments elsewhere on the internet and I don't want to sound like a broken record, but from the information I have been provided with to date (including from a Sonova employee), the new All Day Clear Slim was already test marketed in Australia and elsewhere as the HelloGO over 2 years ago. I have also exchanged emails with Abram Bailey about this. In other words, the aid was developed well before Sonova acquired a part of the Sennheiser company. So the question is, is the use of the Sennheiser name simply marketing or has the Sennheiser expertise and experience in matters of higher-end audio actually contributed to the development of this aid? As a (non-streaming) audiophile and musician I can only hope it is the latter, but I fear it is unlikely. I look forward to viewing your review in due course.

    • @sennheiser
      @sennheiser 11 місяців тому

      Hi Peter - Thanks for the question here and your direct email question to us from just a short while ago. As mentioned there the HelloGo product was indeed a concept for which we could evaluate and evolve, which has since been tested and improved upon. Sennheiser All-Day Clear is a hearing aid, so it is focused on the most important aspects of a self-fitting hearing aid which is improving speech intelligibility, all day battery life, vibrant and clear sound, and shaping the audio according to the user's needs via the app. For those seeking audiophile music reproduction, please note that All-Day Clear was not made for this application, and that the audiophile product lines from Sennheiser will continue to be developed and sold.

    • @peter7239
      @peter7239 11 місяців тому

      @@sennheiserthanks for your response. I completely understand the primary purpose of a hearing aid I certainly am not expecting audiophile levels of music reproduction. However, much is being said in the pre release marketing about the superb sound quality of these new aids. What precisely does that mean? What are the improvements that have been made? Will the "live music" mode offer any genuine improvement for a casual musician or ambient music listener or will the dynamic range and bandwidth fall short as with most previous attempts at a music mode? Has any real effort been put into developing and improving the live music mode since the Sennheiser acquisition?

    • @peter7239
      @peter7239 11 місяців тому

      @@sennheiser To put it more bluntly, it is somewhat disingenuous, is it not, to inform a potential purchaser with an interest in music (audiophile or otherwise) to look elsewhere in the Sennheiser product range, when Sonova is using the Sennheiser name (and well-established reputation in the audio industry) so prominently in the marketing of this new hearing aid. I understand of course that Sonova is not the first corporation to do this and will certainly not be the last.
