In this video, we take a look at some Anti-Alatreon Builds for the Charge Blade in MHW Iceborne. Remember that stats are stated while your character is idle with no active items or food buffs. While some jewel buff will be in effect like maximum might, the video should give you a sense of the type of build I'm going for.

This video helped me remind to max out my evade window rather than a lvl 4 Guard on my Anti-Alatreon CB build. I-framing Alatreon's attacks is considerably more efficient than guard pointing them. Great vid contents as usual! 👌

I couldnt imagine using CB without Focus 3. Just feels wrong
i have 1000 hours with CB. I don't use focus and still find myself overcharge a lot. Focus is overrated for CB.

@@prosketch95 lol no. i know how speed runners use focus, it's fine for them and i've done it myself. but for regular hunt with randoms you really don't need it. focus can make it difficult to stay in SnS mode against difficult monster like Alatreon. You want to stay in SnS to be safe and wait for opening, but attacking would quickly overcharge. you then have to try and charge the sword or store the phial and waste them. Without focus, you have more options in SnS mode. you have moves to charge and moves to deal damage. And with savage axe mode, you don't need to charge that often if you know how to manage phials, so focus is kinda wasted. If you use focus, go for SAED is more efficient.

Why u didn't go for Phoenix jewel? Coalescence is a good choice for elemental type.
Because having full blight resistant makes the jewel useless you won’t get the buff from it
@Jay you are right, dude. I think we can swap resistor/expert jewel to ironwall/expert to be able to use coalescence.
William Susanto yeah you could if the armor didn’t have its natural resistance didn’t go past 15 which is where you’ll no longer be effected by blights I know I have fought him with the full safijiva and I wasn’t effected by blights at all and I didn’t have any resistor jewels in it but that Phoenix jewel would be great if we could use it with the armor
I think you can equip 2 resistor jewel instead of full resistance to get benefit from coalescence. Coalescence skill is so damn good if we able to hit weak points (tenderized part).
is there much difference in damage if i went with a master touch build instead of Safi Armour?
How far do i need to upgrade the kjar stromgram ice weapon for augments to be available? I've got it after 3 days of hunting kt and put all my mats into it, yet i can't agment it.
Probably already got an answer but if anyone has the same question: you need to upgrade the weapons to Level 5 to access Master Rank Augments
Having a hard time with getting the Kjarr Ice, has anyone had luck using an augged Alatreon weapon with either the Safi or Kaiser/Brachy build?
Evan Hairston Dragon’s not a good idea, he’s almost immune to in in fire/ice mode. If you can’t get a Kjarr weapon, a safi weapon, a frostfang weapon or hell even something from the vanilla game, I’ve seen people beat him with Silver Rathalos’ and Shrieking Legiana’s weapons, I’d imagine the beotodus cb would still work fine.

I can never seem to piece together a build that has all the decorations listed in them haha. Farming Day in Ruin all day has gotten me nowhere

Russell Walmsley You definitely want a fire or an ice weapon. Kjarr is ideal but not manditory, Safi Jiiva, Silver Rathalos, Frostfang Barioth weapons will get the job done, you could probably even get away with something like Glavenus, Shrieking Legiana, Valkhena or Beotodus weapons depending on your weapon type.
OMG Kjarr Strongarm "ICE" is really rare, i dont get that weapon after hundred Kjarr Alchemy, how to make that weapon drop?

Installing stuff is just for the game data. The only way to lose saves is if you manually choose to
Save files are different from game data. They usually never mix together. At least on ps4. Is how it works

kjar CB=15-20%
weakness ex: 30+20%
cri eye=40
total =150/130%
