Paul George 76ers rumors have been hot all offseason, but if the Sixers miss out on signing Paul George, could they pursue a Brandon Ingram trade?

“Sources around the NBA believe the 76ers have a real chance of signing Paul George this summer. Although George just turned 34, he’s still a tremendous scorer, facilitator, and defender. One night, George plays like an MVP. The next, he’s an elite 3-and-D role player. This type of versatility is exactly what the Sixers need. They’re looking for another star, but they also need players who can fill various roles. PG-13 is both, which is why sources familiar with Philly’s strategy say he is the team’s plan A in free agency.”

“Aside from the pipe dream that Kevin Durant or Jimmy Butler would ask to be dealt directly to Philly, sources familiar with the Sixers’ thinking say that Brandon Ingram is the primary fallback plan. Ingram would have to be acquired in a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans since he’s under contract for $36 million with a 15 percent trade kicker through the 2024-25 season. But the Sixers could absorb him without sacrificing any salary, a major benefit to the Pelicans, who could then operate with cap space and receive draft picks from the Sixers.”

A younger wing that can shoot and rebound.... like a 3 and rebound type guy - 6'5 - 6'8 ... I really like Dylan Windler now that he's finally healthy. Somebody like him will work. We don't need a superstar. It's actually better if it's not a big name in my opinion.
My plan A is to make a trade for Bridges. Mikal is the better fit.
Bring in bridges. All of these other guys (besides Paul George) aren’t as impactful as him in my opinion. Bridges would also be cheaper, meaning you can additionally sign guys like KCP, a backup center, and even a guy like Malik monk

The way you describe Paul George is completely different than what you see from him on the court. When you're replacing Tobias for George, then of course the move is great, but if you're sacrificing a meaty portion of yr cap space & yr roster depth for George, you're looking at another Harden situated cause you cant count on him to make up for the lack of depth. This isnt where the Sixers should be lookin

We dont need a third superstar. What we need are specialist that are stars in their roles ! Rebounding specialist, defensive specialist , and 3 point specialist.

People forget that Ingram was the second round pick. The same year that ben simmons was the first round pick. We can make up for the mistake that we did that year. Even though, ben simmons was the clear favorite for the first draft pick But Ingram we can get more players in free agency. I'd rather have Kevin Durant, man. I wish we could have kevin durant, but that's wishful thinking. So I guess daryl mori doesn't wanna go after Makal Bridges will happen with that??? But I wouldn't mind Paul George. When he was on the pacers, and he was given the business to LeBron James. This guy reminds me of Tracy. McGrady, well, not anymore, but in his prime man, he was a problem. I enjoy watching this Chat Sports content, however this is a bad take in my opinion. The major problem the Sixers have had, besides bad management, is trying to force feed championship urgency. Adding George would just expedite the mediocrity cycle which is not too far off. Get younger, taller and more role specific players.
In order to keep our assets than i guess PG is the way to go.
Think that plays a part in PG being their Plan A. Would rather sign a guy and still have the draft capital for future moves than give it up now and still lose the cap space

Mikael Bridges and Lauri Marketon are both unobtainable via a trade. We simply don't have the picks to pull it off. Donavon Mitchell is too similar to Maxey. PG is injury prone and too old. Butler aint going nowhere and is too old and injury prone. Ingram is too soft .KD has seen better days and only will get worse , and he is a disrupter of culture. Lebron is gonna be 40 and is not a plan for the future. OG would cost us a fortune and he isn't that much of a game changer for all of the money we would pay. The Knicks will pull out all the stops to sign OG because the Nets wont trade Bridges to the Knicks then sit there and watch them succeed. How bout this. Stick it to the Knicks and swoop in and overpay Hartenstein. The Knicks wont have much money once they resign OG. Hartenstein is just what the Sixers need. A hard nosed rebounder who can score around the basket,He can play the 4 and play center when Embid is not on the court. He was a rebound machine during the playoffs. Most of them offensive. Just what we lacked! Embid could then play point center ala Jockic Then go sign Miles Bridges.A rebounding forward with a 3 point shot. Then sign Klay Thompson and bring in some championship caliber leadership and outside 3 point shooting. After that ,go all in on getting Marcus Smart via a trade. Jah is coming back and Memphis needs to do something cause they way they are now it ain't gonna cut it. Give a boatload of picks for Smart.He is way better than Caruso that everyone is going ga ga over. He is a tough defender and clutch shooter/ Resign Oubre for sure. Then fill in from there.Yes to Payne ,Heild , and KJ Martin

he stopped shooting 6 3's a game because after that he got PAID, ROOKIE CONTRACT EXTENSION. He has tobias harris vibes. A lot of players are like that. They ball out during contract season and then afterwards they revert back down to their norm or even worse like Ben Simmons and dont give an F. Brandon Ingram balled out during his first two years with the pelicans but then reverted back down to his base and stopped playing like he really cared. Not everybody has that LBJ mentality.
His mentality is definitely a concern. If he would buy in, with his talent, he would be great.
I think it’s more that he had to be the primary playmaker for the pelicans. He averaged the most assists on their team. I just think if he doesn’t have to focus on getting everyone involved and can focus on his game he will be much better.
I’d sooner trade every pick we have for Bridges than go for Ingram
Put it this way let’s say Joel get hurts close to the playoff which he probably will. Will paul George be better with Maxey or Lebron or let’s say Maxey and Joel both get hurt who would you trust with the team Lebron and Paul George it’s a easy answer Lebron No Paul George
That's fair. PG probably fits better as the 3rd option, but if needed to take over as the 1, LeBron is better suited for that
Ridiculous. If Morey is delusional..he NEEDS to be fired. Embiid, Maxey, Markkenan or Jaren Jackson Jr, Oubre, Ricky Council IV...or a draft pick who can start NOW.
