11:55 Another solution to stop your log from rolling is to use a digging stick and scrape a quick trench for it. Doesn't have to be deep (just an inch or two and just the length of the log). Quicker and simpler than making stakes.

I lost my boy Ruger, 2 1/2 weeks ago. He looked very much like Scout. He was like my son. My heart still hurts so very much. I miss him every day. He was only 3 years old. Its great to see a guy and good Shepherd, out in the woods, just enjoying their time together.

I swear Scout may need his own show, great video, Loved watching him getting that big limp up the hill in the beginning, cracks me up cause my little terrier mix does the same thing when she is out with me and I'm working with wood/sticks. Also great turn on that egg.
I really enjoyed this video. Loved the scenes and your good narration. Good dog as well. I am 79 and done many things out of doors of which a lot is on cine/video etc.. Dont think I'll ever get round to putting it all on UA-cam. Thanks again.

I get oddly happy about how Scout is so satisfied with his sticks. Great video Joe! I have no idea how youtube is choosing it's recommends for people but your hot tent video came up recommended & well that was about 3 weeks ago or so & ive watched dozens of your camping videos. It's amazing how much difference only 2 inches can make in the comfort and utility of an axe handle. I find 21 inches to be about perfect with that size head. Great video!
