In high school we were taught Arc Welding. I guess Mig is an evolution of it. I'm a truck driver. But long to one day work on an old car. Thanks for education.
Well I bought the Milwalkee weed wacked. I guess this will be my next purchase. Keep up the reviews. I like the last resort looking at the instructions. Lol
Thank you Rachel for the review! You are such a great teacher and an amazing Welder/Metal Fabricator. It would be so cool if you offered live coarse training via video feed, but I don't know how well that would work. You would be an awesome instructor. I would sign up 😊 Thank you again for all that you do.
I got a agilworx on Amazon has a full kit to get started with accesories. Helmet, gloves, wire brush with hammer, stinger, ground, mig/fluxcore no gas gun, wire roll, and has Tig capabilities.
flux core is a more dirty weld its requires more clean up that's all. The weld itself is not dirty and its handy where as you don't need gas, because the flux is in the wire itself. It's great for small jobs out in the field. I've had a little flux core for decades for around the house. I onced fabricated and welded up a boat trailer with it. So its not bad for the price. I have mine set up on a 20 amp breaker and it never trips the breaker, if you plug it into a 15 amp breaker it will trip quite often.
The 110 volt welders are ok for sheet metal but that’s it. When I was production welding we used Anti Spatter MIG Nozzle Dip to keep the tip clean. Curious why I don’t see it used nowadays. I still use it all the time. What’s up with the Viking build? Looking forward to seeing it progress. Luv your channel.👍👍
nice to see some real life going on there, gets old watching the edited stuff sometimes we all get a squirrel distracting us from time to time, nice bead that innershield can be grumpy sometimes
I think this review falls short of a review and more time should be spent testing all the features and testing the machine correctly. I’m disappointed with the lack of detail and thoroughness of this review.
Thanks for the input. Just trying to keep the videos on the shorter side. If you subscribe you’ll see these tools used in action with a bit more detail :)
You’re not wrong, always buy the best welder you can afford. The fact is some people interested or wanting to do some welding especially a young student, $250.00 is much more affordable than $600.00 -$1000, and $2500.00 is way out of reach. It is a cheap welder, has limitations, I would have loved to have this option many years ago. This could make a project possible or better yet kick start a career for some girl or guy. A Decent review, but should have clarified the tripping of the breaker is NOT the welders fault, it is her shop and what she has running on the 110 volt circuit she is plugged into for the demo .
There are certainly great ones out there, this is just one version for people who don't need something heavy duty, or who might not be able to afford spending the extra $$ :)

Please take this only as it’s intended - constructive criticism. I watched 3 other reviews on this welder and yours was by far the worst. Audio quality horrendous. Recording in a hard surfaced room with nothing to absorb sound creates echos which make vocal quality very bad. Not have a lavalier mic means you are rarely addressing the mic, so even with sound turned all the way up it’s almost impossible to understand what you are saying. Not taking the time to set up for closeups means viewers have no idea what’s happening, both in assembly/setup and actual execution. I won’t be watching any other of your videos because there are many others out there actually putting in the effort to produce quality videos from which I can learn. I recommend you watch Donyboy73 evaluating this same machine to see what I’m talking about.
I’m weak bro. 😂 I heard her just fine and honestly not that bad of a video. Straight to the point no bs. Anyways will look at the channel you said here in the comment. No pun intended
Throw away welders. They're cheap and undependable. This one welded for about two minutes and quit. Save your money and get a reasonably priced welder with actual capabilities. Especially if you are just getting started.
I disagree here. I think these little welders have their place. This one Mayne not for my shop, but at home for some smaller jobs, or for people doing light duty hobby stuff, it would be great!
I gotta tell ya I've never heard a welding machine described as adorable and cute. How refreshing!
Haha, well welcome to my videos!
Nice to see you took my advice! Now you don't have to rent a welder for some of your installs!😊
I do believe they are even less expensive. Thanks for the video, mine should be arriving shortly!
Hope you like it!

I started on arc welding as well, it was years before I evolved to mig welding!

Hey Rachel great channel you have here keep up the good work and i love your honest reviews!

How's the performance on that machine?
@@hippiehiker8134 it's working great as far as the fluxcore no gas wire. Everything seems good so far.

Nice, I'll be reviewing the same one!
Can't wait to see it!
@@rachelbohnet It's quite amazing for a $200 machine!
Hi, Rachel. Do you know what the thickest metal it will weld ? I need to weld 3/8" would like to do 1/2"
I would say 3/8" might be it, but set to max with 220 power you might be able to get away with it!
Great review! 😊
Good evening wondering when we going to see the video on the old Chevy truck being put together can't wait.
Getting the vids together now!

You were like opening presents on Christmas day
Always with my new tools!
I just looked that set up on Amazon, it is shown as$159.99 for that exact set up!
Yeah wicked deal!
If you ever need help doing installs, would love to work with you.
Haha, Rachel you crack me up the way you rip things open and toss things around! How would you say it compares to the harbor freight Titanium 125?
I haven't tried that one, so can't be too sure! But this thing would be great for small hobby stuff!
So much more wholesome than those boring tiktok girls showing their latest makeup :) someone with an actual practical skill!
super cool

I can't definitely get a little squirrel like! Haha! I also like to keep it real, nobody is perfect!
Aaaargh, I need to crack open my little harbor freight fluxcore welder 🤯🤯🤯
How much for that machine
It's about $225 Canadian
@@rachelbohnet thanks
Now only $159.99🤣

10 mins in im laughing because you dont have the dinse in 😂 but ya got it
Great video! Do you tig weld? It’s another art form that would be cool to see you master it on video 😂☮️🇺🇸
I do tig weld! I love it! Waiting on a new tig machine. I do alot of aluminum boat work and love it for that.

Spend the extra money and get a better welder. There are better ones from $600 - $800.
