What a pity didn't see you at the event. I would had loved to meet you. I have a lot to thank you, you are the main culprit of me getting into this hobby, which has changed my life.
Greetings from the UK. Sorry you never found any iron age bronze axes. I should have taken you to the exact spot where I found the bronze age sprue. It was a real pleasure meeting you. Best wishes. Bob
Cool for them, but locals like us who live near Colchester can’t get on those fields anymore because the Americans have paid the farmer more money for exclusive use of the land. It’s quite a big business with groups flown in and out constantly.
Just wish I could have been along to keep you out of mischief! Can't get any work done cause I keep finding great adventures to watch! Thanks (I think), Beau!
“ A lot of good stuff has come out of this field, so I’m going to concentrate!” Immediately after, “So what’d you find?” Love the Chigg, his love of people outweighs everything else! You are the best Chigg!
Great vid and it was great meeting you and his🤗 next time I,LL get a selfie 🤔 just seen my mate with his minim Roman coin😁🤣it was hard going but a great weekend, keep digging and HH 🤓
Did you know you can date woods and hedgerows in Britain by sampling the flora in a section? The greater the biodiversity the older the the sample. They discovered this in trying to date lanes and country roads with their hedges and ditches. Fascinating. That’s where I would rummage!
Enjoyed that, looks like everyone had a great time, feel sorry for you digging down so far in that stony clay soil (been there, horrible stuff) just to find a rusty pipe but it had to be done, as you said could have been a hoard!! That was a nice little Saxon piece you found, well done on that one - Good luck on your next HH - Rob
Welcome to the U.K. and I’m glad you had a good time here, I’m sorry that you didn’t find your hoard but that’s the way it goes here sometimes, But at least you’ve seen a good cross section of what can be found here from Saxon to Roman and medieval and everything in between, Sometimes it feels like we live in a museum and to some extent I suppose we do and that is what makes metal detecting here so exciting as you can never predict what you might find, Anyway don’t let what you found put you off coming over again as I’m sure you’ll have better luck next time.
Chigg seems to just be enjoying the day. Like he’s taking a short holiday before getting back to his rivers and streams of the Shenandoah Valley. As well, I certainly enjoy the passion Jocelyn has for her hobby. And she’s so smart about it and so very pretty. Both of you stay awesome and get home safely.
Hey and greetings from England UK. Awesome video! We found 18th century GOLD last week and some 2000 year old ROMAN coins, we've subscribed to your channel.
This looked like an amazing fun time! 👏🏻🙂 One day I hope to go there, it’s a Detectorist’s dream for sure! 🥰. Thanks for showing us your experience as well as yours and other’s finds. 😊. That Saxon treasure at the end was amazing! Wow! 😯
brilliant....you showed how tough digging is in summertime uk feilds..lol absolutely great video chig..hope you made hundreds and hundreds of episodes of your england trip. thanks for sharing
Wow digging up Roman artifacts. Amazing. People fail to realize most detectorists are historians also. Filled of information this video. Great Job! Chigg gave a field promotion!
Chigger I didn't know that young lady the lamp lady you're still detecting I haven't seen her in a long time I seen her hubby but I know you had a good time there I enjoy the video you stay blessed I'll see you on your next
Damn must have missed you at Detectival bud. Met up with Tim and few others. walked what felt like hundreds of miles!! Next time your over head down to Wales and hunt with us. We treat you to hammered mountain :-)
Lived in Tulsa for 3 years in the mid 70's. Nicest people I ever met. Born and raised in Philadelphia, in the neighborhood where Rocky was filmed. Wouldn't mind going back to Tulsa some day. Lamar, come back here with my Q.T. beer. Never could get used calling a bag a sack or a soda, pop. My favorite radio station was KMOD the rainbow station.
ONE DAY, Chigg. You'll get that *gold* musket ball. or Joycelyn will dig it 4 feet from you while you're chasing a pop top. Such is life. It'll still make a nice video.
First time I hunted in England I asked my hunting partner what he really wanted to find. He has dug up thousands of coins but he really wanted to find a Roman coin. 5 minutes after starting we found one along a Roman road in Banbury. He thinks it is his favorite find and a great thing to take back to America.
Dig it all, even the axe hoards! Wait for it, wait for it, dum da dum dum, dumb! I have done that so many times. Ain't huntin' unless you dig dumb stuff. Thanks for sharing, Chigg!
Most of those zinc pennies are so eaten up by the soil that the banks won't take them and the Coinstar machines just dump them out. I got a whole bowl of them.
That " shotshell " back at 4:20 in the vid is actually a back to a peper black power cartrige probably a Snyder endfeild or another modle of breachloading probably from 1865 to 1880s range 😄 dontbelieve me look them up and great video man your getting my bug going 😂
An old blunted 'Bowie' type knife is by far the most useful tool when detecting/digging. For finds that are up to a few inches deep, a knife can cut a precision _Flap_ of Turf, exposing the ground underneath, or when prising out rocks like on here once you're in the hole up the hilt of most small spades :)
@@spiritnsage Well *God* Bless The United Kingdom too! There isn't any sole claim to God in America surely? Copyrighted? A Loisense?! We don't have a song to the same effect like Amerikeens, so that must rule Brits out haha :)
21:40, thats a british medieval weddingrock. Every guest of the wedding had to stick a silver or gold coin underneath it, for the newlyweds good luck!!

Those blackberries are called Brambles here in the UK.

@Owen Kelsey No, I place them at the bottom of a mug, pour hot water into the mug, add a splash of milk and drink the resultant liquid contained within. The tea bag is usually removed with the help of a teaspoon and then disposed of, prior to drinking. Thanks for asking.
Hey man thank you for the video I enjoyed it you got some nice stuff there that you found and it is sad that people don't cover up the holes after they dig it out I do the same as you I always cover up my hole
We listened over and over and could not catch what that medal Saxon thingy was? And what was it made of and how old was it? Could you post it? Elaborate a bit? Just couldn't catch the audio. Nice Vid.
What a pity didn't see you at the event. I would had loved to meet you.
I have a lot to thank you, you are the main culprit of me getting into this hobby, which has changed my life.
It's the crazy lamp lady!
Hey beau it was awesome to meet you. Thank you for the shout out my friend 👍 take care.
What's the history of the plot?
When is the next rally to join the team

👍
OMG the crazy lamp lady is here!....you guys channels are two of my favourite youtubers!...cheers from Canada :)
It's the Crazy Lamp Lady!!! ;) Great video Beau.
How cool would that be to visit England and search for treasures.
Cool for them, but locals like us who live near Colchester can’t get on those fields anymore because the Americans have paid the farmer more money for exclusive use of the land. It’s quite a big business with groups flown in and out constantly.
Jabba I see your point I didn’t know that they kinda left that out of the video. That’s very disappointing.
Jabba still plenty of group digs all over the country mate there’s lots of groups on Facebook
Smash her doors in.
@@sudo_nym Step away from the 'Meth, Beavis. World has enough tedious trolls already.
Wow! I just realized you have hit 1 million subscribers! Man, congrats! Keep finding the treasure!
Jocelyn defies the laws of science in that she gets more attractive year after year.
The same can be said about Beau.
Agree with you the perfect company
Just wish I could have been along to keep you out of mischief! Can't get any work done cause I keep finding great adventures to watch! Thanks (I think), Beau!
That's the typical size for our blackberries. I trust you had a pleasant time on our side of the pond.
Incredible and very aesthetically pleasing _Find_ Chiggs!
- The _beauties_ out of the ground were fab too!

Where nettles grow, dock leaves also grow. It's a broad leaf. You rub it on the nettle sting and it goes away.
Your a great person, awesome video. Wish you'd been more lucky. Really like your river hunts in the USA!
goes to England...finds a musketball immediately.Nice work Chigg.
