Cooling System Bleed | E36 M3

Cooling bleeding is necessary to do once you have introduced air into the cooling system. Once bleeding procedure is finished, keep an eye on the reservoir level which is may decrease in the next few drive cycles.

Yes depending on how much air is in the system

When my e36 is off the coolant drops/drains from the kalt line to about the middle of the coolant sensor but when running it raises to the kalt line is this normal ?

The level does raise a bit when warm, you should make sure the coolant level when cold is topped off to right amount as per the reservoir and you should be fine.
