Thanks so much for this. I think that we all forget his non-Carry On films. My Dad met him a few times on the Rep. circuit in the 1950s. He said he was hilarious to dine with, but you just had to sit and listen to his monologue. Nobody in the party dared to interrupt him. He was certainly one of my firm favourites growing up. Kenneth Williams seemed to be on everything in the Seventies and Eighties, from "Just a Minute" to countless chat shows and from 'Willo the Wisp' to adverts for Brobat Bloo loo cleaner! I remember where I was when I learnt of his death. I walked to a newsagents in Fulham to buy some fags whilst revising for my finals and suddenly noticed the Evening Standard placard headline: "Kenneth Williams Found Dead". I was thoroughly depressed for the rest of the day. It is amazing how famous he remains today. Occasionally, whilst with friends, I have uttered the words "Stop messing about" in a mock Kenneth Williams accent, and everyone always laughs. Some even join in with "Oh Matron!".
Wonderful Actor, just seen thanks to you, he worked with the best, loved watching, listening to him ,left us too soon 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is so interesting - I’d often heard he started in Trent’s Last Stand but had never seen it. Amazing clips.

"FRYING TONIGHT!"
Excluding the Carry On? Total waste of time then, isn't it?
We all know the Carry Ons, but it's interesting to see his other work I thought
There's always one.........
It’s totally fascinating to see what else he did - I had not seen most of these clips, but have seen every Carry On. So, no - not a waste of time.
