This video introduced me to this beer when first uploaded and will forever be my favorite beer.
Watching this 9yrs later (2023). This is one of the first asmr videos I ever watched.

ASMR before it was cool
I kinda like the first 15 mins of the clip, the background noise added that sleepiness feeling the crickets were nice.
For some reason, i love the mic/camera he is using, The crispness is sharp, it might be his articulation because he says every T,S,B, and C (there might be some other letters I'm missing) and when in a whisper, it makes for a really nice experience, gives a better ambiance and also makes him seem more intellectual and makes him seem like he actually knows what hes talking about (not that i don't think you don't hail Lord Rift) just makes the video much better than other asmrtists out there
Save them...which is why it is called collecting. You collect cards and trade them with other collectors to complete your "mint" collection of cards. When that is done you can either:
A) Sell them off
B) Save them for sale later when they gain more value
or C) Pass them down to your children when they are old enough to understand the passion you put forth into your collection.
Although for some it is a compulsive mental disorder.
I can't stand alcohol and I can't stand smoking but I can watch people smoke and I can listen to you talk about beer. I have no idea why.

a little advice is when you pour guinness try and pour it more slowly =)
***** but the head is way too thick with Guinness the head is only supposed to be about half an inch in thickness

These sort of videos don't give me tingles but they do relax me more than any other whisperer can.
Please make an ASMR video just with beer, I love the way you talk and the swigs you take on the binaural mic!!! I really enjoi the sound it picks up when you take a swig!!!

Dude I seriously have the utmost respect for you. Even tho it was mentioned quickly, the fact that you don't just tell your son "hey thats cool buddy" but you also invest time to play pokemon cards and just enjoy your time with him truly is something some Dad's miss out on. Reminds me of how my dad used to hang with me. Truly builds a close relationship, and I can tell you from the sons point of view, he will never forget it. Hats off to you good sir.
picking up audio details in asmr is almost like mindfullness. maybe thats why its so stress relieving. I love this videoseries!!

when ya pour it keep the bottle close to the glass nearly touching it so it doesnt get too big of a head, dont make the head big until the very very end

I think it's awesome that you enjoy playing games like Pokemon with your son, while still being mindful of how much he is exposed to them. I never knew a dad that tried to do that with their child.

If you want a true strong lager/beer, Guiness is really the way to go. Little tip though, wait until the beer is an inch or so from the edge before tipping upright again (when pouring) wont get as big a head, keep it real nice and thin.

The card package opening was like sweet bliss for my ears.
Most pubs in the UK have a special pad at the bar that the full pint of Guiness is rested on and it somehow helps to settle the stout. Dunno how it works but seen them about in a few bars.
I've never drank a beer in my life, nor do I plan to... I am, however fascinated by the appearance of beer, wine, etc. bottles.
One of my favorite beers. Tough to find the Foreign Extra around here though, usually I just settle for the regular Extra, which is good too. If you can ever find Southern Tier Choklat Stout, you should definitely review it. It's probably my favorite stout.
Garbage pal kids is where its at. I've been a collector since 5. It brings back a lot of memories. Good ASMR. Quality content. Original content other than hair cuts/dr. apts. etc. Keep it up. Its fun.

I liked your breakdown on the ASMR concept. I forget the term but in Psych class we learned how we are constantly bombarded with millions of pieces of sensory information, most of which our brain is forced to filter out. It's nice to cut down on that sometimes and, just as you said, focus only on a very limited amount of them allowing you to be so much more present and aware.
I love your big beer glass best. I'm looking for one just like yours. With wide circumference on the top and a narrow "waist", the abundant bubbles and brew always make me want a cold one :)

*possibilities of card combinations and deck types, there's just as much strategy in how you build your deck as how you play it. There's also tons of great videos you could watch to learn basic rules and such, as well as most magic players you find will be willing to teach you everything you'd need to know. :)

Awesome video yet again my friend. A head sup with the pouring, I used to be a barman. You've got the angles spot on. But almost 'hook' the lip of the bottle on the edge of the glass and slowly pour. Use the entire length of the glass to run it down. Should give you a perfect head on the drink.
As far as beer is concerned, I don't drink it (still young. Palate isn't quite ready for that bitter overload), but I love to use it in cooking. My current favorite recipe is a beer bread made with a nutty beer and a 12.5% ABV. So you can imagine my friends joking around doing their best slurred voices "thisisome Really googgg bred!"
At first I wasn't really particularly interested in your videos because they didnt really trigger me, but fir some reason this one really did.

My friend I am afraid that you have failed to enjoy a true Guinness Ireland has the original. But you got a pretty good comparison so tips are in order :)
A few helpful hints:
When you pour your beer you must WAIT! Wait for some of the froth to go away then top it off. You can do this a few times, but you do want a little foam.
After you have successfully topped it off you must then wait until there is a crisp demarcation line between the black and white. The longer you wait the better.

Some folks just don't like it; although, I will recommend maybe giving it another whirl and finding something you like. I hated beer, but I kept drinking this brown ale my friends and I got in a pitcher when we watched hockey. Eventually it really grew on me and I quite like it now even though I thought it tasted like piss before. I used to call it watered down piss water actually.
Well! You got the angle of the pint right but the pour was appalling buddy if i must say! You pour a pint of Guinness in two go's. One pour three quarters of the way, let her sit for a bit then pour the rest in. How we poured it in the pub, and i live in Ireland!

Hey Rift. I love watching your videos. I have frequent anxiety and anxiety attacks and your videos are very relaxing and mellow. They are also very interesting content wise always. But I was actually sitting with my cat watching this video and she is a very high strung, uptight cat and she was the most mellow and relaxed I have ever seen her. It made me wonder is cats experience ASMR as well as us. Lol just a cool little thing that happened I wanted to share with you. keep up the good work man. Peace.

Guinness draught isn't black BTW it's a super dark deep ruby. The bottlede extra stout for me has a coffee like flavour and slight fizz and caramel too. It was the first legal drink I ever had in my life. Clean lacing means you have a beer-clean glass with no soap residue etc.
