In this century, we need a practically connected world for the benefit of every person irrespective of their origin, so this bridge is a hallmark in human history. Humanity is a single species being scattered across the planet, so it is the ideal time now to get united and work together for the benefit of majority. It is pretty sure that this bridge will be able to serve humankind for centuries, and also, it is obvious now that we need more bridges
like this in future to make better world for everyone. This world belongs to all of us to live with peace and harmony.

They didn’t dig ALL the trenches! They were hired by the British and carried ammo and supplies also. Africans from European colonies also participated in WW1, some fighting some in support and logistics. Also don’t forget that is was Chinese labor that built our railroads in the 19th century across the west. They out produced the Irish by far.

democracy is a disaster , specially in a country like india , which is so huge , diverse and a lot of it's people are illiterate , ill informed . In a democracy an informed and knowledgeable person and an ill informed person both have 1 vote . that is insane . india needs to move away from multi party system to one party system . we need to vote for one party and give them a continuous run of atleast 15 years

vahsir artapaham I completely agree with u. We need one party where everyone works in intrest of nation.
Having said that we can't give power to one particular party for 10 - 15 years in current scenario( exception for modi)
imagine corrupt people like raja ,kalmadi ruling for 15-20 years and we will be another Somalia in no time.
Bottom line is we should make strong institutions like isro, Which works for country irrespective of who's at the power.

This goes to show just how lazy Canadian's and American's are. If we were to build something like this it would take 7 years to debate it, by then all the money would be gone, and even if by some miracle we were to build this, it would only be finished by our grand kids. China doesn't waste time in debating new projects, they debate for a year or two and then get the project going.

Infrastructure projects that are nessesary are not debated for long. And its important to involve the local authorities and population into such projects to ensure that it makes sense in the first place. And although debate needs some time, at least you dont loose 40% of the costs to the pockets of corrupt local authorities, huh. China would be better off if it had some form of political representation of its citizens, so corruption is lowered and collective goals are achieved more effectively. Look at the pollution problems in the big urban areas, there is no material problem in solving it, China has enough money to invest in filter systems and that way ensure the health of the coming generations of the fast growing middle class. The only problem here? Corrupt officials. Political representation of citizens is a major contribution to effective governance and is at the same time no contradiction to the existence of a decisive central government. I think the chances are good that China will develop itself in that direction and I look forward to the growing political self-conciousness of the Chinese Middle-Class and Workers.

    • @dhowser2008

Trump borrowed trillions from the Chinese with interest. With Obama there have been a couple of times when the US almost missed their payment with China and Japan putting the country into default. It's only a matter of time when the US becomes China ruled. If the US Government was to take all the money they get from taxes, etc., that money would only just start to pay the interest on the money they owe.

    • @flungingpictures

What China good Is organization. I was Daily watching a contractor build our mall west wing extension. distruction and rebuild 30 small stores. Well they make 2 mistake and had to redo. First was a slope or wet ground so they layed gravel and they pored cement , but they were not to be useing a plastic barrier under the cement. So they had a jack hammer the whole area
And redo the the cement again. And the other was miss place about 12 column a few feet off. And had to jack hammer and brake it off. So much waste.
