Are you satisfied with the soil being kept open to sun and wind? Watering very close to the tree with drip?
This kind of farming which does not stop evaporation and soil buildup could be using plenty of irrigation, even if it is drop by drop.

When real estate is very costly, I commend him for saving this big piece of land dedicated towards nature. We need to respect him even though we find fault with his capitalistic approach to things. That said, from a nutrition perspective I believe his crops would be averaging very poorly than better managed ones.. I see his land to be lot more naked.. that is not a good sign for nutritious crops.. he need to change his consultants and rather than landscaping, he needs to put more of his efforts on nutritional crops.. we have all the science needed to manage weeds nutritionally and ideas to improve bio diversity while we grow our crops.. he needs to use that science.. I wish him best to do that..

    • @peacenjoy3579
      @peacenjoy3579 27 днів тому

Maybe that is because of lack of awareness for healthy food choices amongst the affordable class plus the fact that most of the Middle class may not be able to afford such expensive choices. So maybe a two pronged strategy of creating more awareness amongst the upper middle class plus encouraging farmers to form cooperative and seek professional help on payment basis or profit sharing model by contacting Back to Basics may help bring down prices to affordable levels. There is also a factor of mindsets that needs to be changed. We can see the rich class haggling with a vegetable vendor and going to another who sells cheap but substandard quality, and we regularly see the middle class avoiding good fruits and veggies due to their cost but happily entering McDonald's for a unhealthy but expensive burger or pizza. Plus the fact that swiggy and zomato basically caters to junk food supply, instead we need a 15mins delivery scheduled supply chain for healthy fruits and veggies. The existing ones are not able to supply fresh or good eatable quality produces. We need to use cctv tech where any buyer can log in and view anytime the process 24x7, they may view for max 15 to 20 mins at anytime that they think to order, but that small step will instill trust and help any business grow. Transparency is the key. India is changing and people will pay for good food.

Could be a new plantation with plenty of irrigation using continuous drip very close to the trees and plants with compost/manure. But the rest of the land is red, desolate with no carbon sequestration. Exposed soil will get overheated and no soil structure can be created with such rampant ploughing. Don't expect the rainfall to percolate and not evaporate. Because of this irrigation pipes exist even for taller/older trees.

Can I make a suggestion, it would be good to get a better idea of his methods of fertilizing his plants. How he prepares the organic fertilizer, how often and how he applies it.
What are his composting methods and the cost of those imputs. Does he have animals that provide his manures etc.
Another area is how did he survive those early yrs while trying to get his farm productive. Obviously capital is required. Did he have to work outside of his farm?
This type of info is important for those who wish to make a transition into organic farming for if not done correctly, failure can easily result.

Plz don't blame Ramesha, reality in the ground is different.
Whether you want him to do direct marketing or multilevel farming.
First you need to adopt a model farm 4 acre. Prove everyone how to do profitable multilevel farming in that 4 acre land.
Always rich people blame poor people.
60 Acre is diff from 4 care. You are financially very strong and do farming in your retirement.
Even if farming fails after your life. 60 acre is a good investment in real estate.

90% export is the key marketing strategy here. How many of the farmers can access the international markets. It is easy when you have such network. I think some people don't count their blessings especially the MBA guys. If all farmers in India export we will have to procure cheap produce from outside to feed common people.
I respect the learned person but that does not mean I will blindly praise him for anything.

Employing 1400 people with high retention is not bad. Some of that money is trickling down to the local population...

Fools reside everywhere ... Those who never dig a pit to plant also claim as farmer, they are just Landlords who manage a farm using paid farmworkers or farmers. And invite paid consultants & medias
But they preach as if they are the real farmers 😂😂😂

How do you know if he does not dig a pit himself...Showing in front of camera is not always necessary...You have to appreciate the work he is doing...

Who is a real farmer from your perspective Siva the guy is it someone who does not hire labour does everything himself and also market to somebody just think who is in paradise from your statement. You have to appreciate the thing he is doing he did say he talks to farmers every month and train them. You need people like him too. Not trying to argue with you just trying to say don't be negative for everything.

And he has the audacity of using ethical practices, passion, soul satisfaction, but doesn't want other uneducated farmers to also make a decent living.. Patenting is so cruel thinking especially in a country like India where everyday farmers die because they lack knowledge & worldly understandings.. Worst kind of human exclusion thinking.. highly ego centric..

This person has bigger ego than the land he owns. So basically he sells organic produce to his rich friends abroad and laughs at other farmers thats actually feeding the world? Tell him to get a life. Not all farmers that dont do organic are poor. Some of them make more than you could even dream.

This guys seems to boast about himself all over the video. He is a businessman & not a farmer & I can't see that from his face also. Not sure if he ever digged a hole in his farm & get his hands dirty. Its easy for non agri background people about farming is not profitable. Go and see the villages & live with them what problems they have & why is it not profitable. He just bought a land & had initial investments & doing a business. Real farmers are running in small scale & have cows & they till & their asses are muddy. These boasting businessman wear Levis jeans and under Armour, but farmer wears patt patte chaddis & panches.

Shouldn’t other farmers also be wearing under Armour ? If they approach farming like a business venture they can
