Thank you for these short little nuggets of encouragement! You get right to the point, and that’s what I’m looking for. I started this while my son was out of town this week because although he is supportive of me losing the weight, he thinks diet and exercise is the only way. He doesn’t understand menopause and grief playing a part in making it harder now for me than it used to be. I need this kick-start on this journey.
I've always been on the big side apart from a few unhealthy periods of my life and your videos are helping me feel excited. Going to get my bloods done today for the initial prescription meeting...
Thank you for your page. I am just starting Wegovy. I am a big girl but feel very hopeful. It’s my first week and I am using Intuitive Eating as well as just making sure to choose healthy meals that I enjoy. I have been overweight since I was a child. Tried everything. Including 12 Step/Psychotherapy/Trauma Therapy/ weighing and Measuring ALL foods/ … I am grateful to have done all that but I am convinced that obesity is a disease and this medication is a tool. ALL of my food chatter and preoccupation with food and eating is GONE. I find that I am doing and thinking about other creative endeavors etc. My start weight is 295 lbs …
TLDR: It is important to focus on your own goals and track your progress when using Semaglutide, and to make dietary changes to support its effectiveness. 00:00 👍 Change your diet, increase protein and water intake, and avoid eating late or large portions while on Semaglutide. 00:34 👍 Drink lots of water to help with nausea when on a GLP1 like Semaglutide, and also try smelling an alcohol swab. 01:03 💡 Let go of others' opinions and focus on your own goals when using GLP1 like Semaglutide. 01:30 📸 Take before and after photos to track your progress on Semaglutide and do it for yourself, not for anyone else.
Just found your videos and so glad I did. I just did my 4th dose of semaglutide and I have lost 10 lbs so far. But I have been the same weight now for about 2 weeks now. Did you have a few weeks where you didn’t lose any lbs? Thanks so much for posting about this. It’s so helpful to hear other people’s experiences and thoughts 😊
Thank you for your tips! My doctor suggested going to the gym and gave me protein powder that I take twice a day. My PM drink I froze it in my ice cream maker and my husband keeps stealing it!! 😂I’m down 10 pounds at my 3 week weight in. It took me six months to lose my first 20 on my own so this has been so exciting!! This menopausal belly is extremely difficult to get rid of, but you encouraged me to take the plunge!! 😊
I am struggling so much w eating. Eating enough in general. Eating enough protein. All of it. I took Semaglutide May to September & lost right at 40lbs. I didn't want to lose more & my husband was complaining about the money so I didn't fill my rx in September & just stopped at 1.0mg. By November-December i had gained back about 15lbs of that 40 & by January it was 20lbs. So I started back at 0.25mg & was advised to get enough protein & water to help w nausea this time around but I'm definitely struggling. I'm a stay at home mom of 2 but my husband does most of the cooking around here. It's usually spaghetti, bbq chicken, grilled chicken, some kind of pork chop meal, with either mashed or sweet potatoes, & either green beans or a combo of corn & peas (hubby & 6yo love, & carrots (2 year old loves), & i just do not have a taste for much of the things he cooks. The first time i took semaglutide the only thing i could bear to eat when i was nauseous was a sliced chicken & cheese sandwich that i dip in cheese dip (I know that's prob weird) & now it's still my go to when nothing else sounds good. I've never been big on vegetables & have always had an issue w certain textures & I'm not sure how to combat that in order to not gain back when i stop semaglutide... Anyone have tips on changing diet for picky eaters? How can i get in enough protein when i have such a tough time eating enough bc of my appetite?
What was the highest dose you took? I am on it, but I am really struggling. I am only losing about 2 pounds a month. I asked my doctor if I could go up and dosage, she hasn’t responded yet, let me know if you get a chance. Thank you so much, your help is always appreciated.
Do you plan on going off the glp1 or will you take it longterm? Are you worried about weight gain? Trying to decide if i should start but I'm so nervous!!
Hi! Normal worry to have. I have PCOS and suffer from insulin resistance. So because of this I think I’ve decided I’ll be on this long term. Maybe I’ll get off for a time and then come back. But I feel so amazing on it I don’t want to be off. But coming off is definitely normal and so many people are able to keep it off with their new habits!
Good to know. Thank you for all the help and info. There is so much negativity about this drug that it is daunting for us in the situation needing help to lose weight. Your videos helped me feel confident in going ahead and starting this. I am so excited about the journey ahead bc mine sounds very similar to your situation and I want to feel healthier, more confident, more energy to enjoy life with my kids and family and to get to a healthier place as well. Thank you! You have no idea how much these videos help people like me ❤
I have taken zofran a couple times this month since going up to 0.5mg but man it really does contribute to constipation. I had the same issue when pregnant & always had to take a different medication for morning sickness. I just found your channel so I'll go look and see what other tips you have. I definitely need some ideas on changing my diet & eating enough when I'm nauseous & have no appetite....

How are you doing now?
I am really struggling with lack of success. About 2 pounds a month, I’ve been on it since last May. Very discouraging.
Thank you for your honesty
I have lost my appetite and so grateful. Choosing protein and a lot of water.
Have you been nauseous? & are you on the compound senaglutide?

Yes! I had hit a plateau and I just barely upped my dose! It pushed it over

Hey! You look amazing! I’m just wondering, did your arms automatically slim down/lose the fat throughout the process?
Yes!!!! It has been wild. My arms were NEVER skinny. Literally the only part of my body that wouldn’t lose fat until now!
Are you currently receiving and taking Semaglutide from ShedRX? Thanks! 😊💕
I am not anymore! I have my new place linked!
@@KarliSinewhy are you not with ShedRX anymore?
@@KarliSine curious about this as well. Thanks!
I'm unable find the link to the new place.@@KarliSine

Dill pickle juice helps
Did you have problems either tiredness? I have seen where people say that's really bad and I am worried bc I have little kids.
I have 4 kids all super little. And I was very tired. But I was able to push through!

Hi, is this something I should get labs done prior to taking?
Yes! Find me on TikTok and dm me
How much did it cost you?
$300/month!
Did the nausea ever go away?
Yes!! After about 4 weeks. It was very manageable with my diet and zofran!
