How come you didn't do this with the other topics (videos) ? 🤔😂
One thing this video doesn’t cover but is definitely worth knowing is the first 19 presidents and their main contributions/events that occurred under their reign.
1. George Washington (1789: Proclamation of Neutrality, Jay Treaty, Pinckney Treaty, Farewell Address)
2. John Adam’s (1797: Alien and Sedition Acts, Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions, XYZ Affair, Quasi-War)
3. Thomas Jefferson (1801: Louisiana Purchase, Lewis and Clark Expedition, Embargo Act)
4. James Madison (1809: War of 1812, Hartford Convention)
5. James Monroe (1817: Monroe Doctrine, Panic of 1819, Adam’s Onis Treaty)
6. John Quincy Adam’s (1825: Tariff of 1828/Abominations, Nullification Controversy, Webster Hayne Debate)
7. Andrew Jackson (1829: Democratic Party, Indian Removal Act, Destruction of Second Bank, Specie Circular)
8. Martin Van Buren (1837: Panic of 1837)
9. William Henry Harrison (1841: Whig Party, died one month into office)
10. John Tyler (1841: Texas Annexation)
11. James Polk (1845: Mexican American War)
12/13/14/15. Zachary Taylor, Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan (4 Presidents from 1849 - 1861)
16. Abraham Lincoln (1861: Civil War, Emancipation Proclamation, 10 Percent Plan)
17. Andrew Johnson (1865: Reconstruction Amendments)
18. Ulysses Grant (1869: Leader of Union Army During Civil War; Credit Mobilier Scandal, Black Friday Scandal, Whiskey Ring Scandal)
19. Rutherford Hayes (1877: End of Reconstruction, Compromise of 1877)
Yep! I took it on Thursday and passed with a 59. I used this video. But, I mostly used the REA book. The content has more of what’s on the tests than their actual practice tests. And, the actual test does have questions about the Germans and where they lived whenever they migrated over to the US. It had several questions about the Lowell, Massachusetts (the factory) and who they hired. There was one question about Pocahontas. Be able to determine different maps and figure out was going on during the Nebraska and Kansas act. What the result was of the Seven year war and the American and Mexican war. You should definitely know the Hudson River School. What kinds of paintings the artists painted. Specifically “John James Audubon”. Understand how life was during the Antebellum period. You should the the parties during Andrew Jackson administration. Also, what John Quincy Adams was doing after he didn’t get re-elected. Understand what happen to the Native American during the trail of tears. In all, the REA book is adequate for the test. But, all the information is in the context not the actual practice tests in the back of the book.
Heeeyyyyy...Just took the clep yesterday and Happy to say I past with a 50. My only study materials were this video and some flash cards from Quizlet. I am horrible at remembering dates so this was a huge deal. Thank you so much. It made the difference between me graduating with my class or doing another semester.
Congrats! We love hearing from successful users!
I'm taking this in Dec and will need all the info I can get to pass this class
@@zataniastrain8761 We have an excellent study guide for this exam which even includes 120 practice test questions. It is available at www.mometrix.com/studyguides/clep.
@@zataniastrain8761 How did you do, I did you only use this video to study
Pro tip: to shorten your studying time, put the woman's sections on 1.75 speed, the men's on 1.5 speed, and the teenager's on 1.25 speed.
took the CLEP today and passed with a 58!! thank you!!
Did this video really help you? Even with it being 8 years old???
@@XyliaHutcheson heck yes! it was almost the only thing i used to study other than quizlet/crash course videos (DISCLAIMER i am a senior history/english major and some of it was background knowledge i had) if you're gonna take the test, just know alot of it is random people's names lolz
This got me through the clep by the skin of my teeth. Thank you so much. A lot of questions that stumped me were about the second enlightenment, native Americans, many about women's rights. Can't remember how much of that was covered in the video.
This video alone got me a 54 on the exam. Thank you so much for your help!!
You're welcome! We love hearing from happy users!
im thinking about using this review? is this all you did and did u use it thoroughly?
A teacher like her would not bore me for 3 decades... Stay blessed
Just used this and got a 57 on my clep exam!!! Thank you so much!!
Congrats! We love hearing from successful users!
Did you just watch the video or take notes also? I take the CLEP next month and trying to figure out the best way to retain all this information in such a short period of time.

This video got me a 52 on the exam! Thank you all!
Thanks so much for this refresher on US History! There is a lot of good information here.
Please note: There is an error in this video at 3:47:44. During the Reconstruction Phase, Andrew Johnson was president. A small but important detail.
Yeah I noticed that lol. Thanks a bunch!
Yes. This is really important!
This is so educational , God bless these teachers and the ppl behind the scene who gave these important lessons. I am going to buy the GED program soon for all 4 ged test. Thk you great ppl💟💟💟💟👍👍👍
I made a 61 almost totally because of this video, so thanks!! :)
Congratulations!
I found it helpful that the lady keeps changing her outfits. This visual que helps find different segments faster especially on the small phone screen.
This is a very good video and I learned a lot from it.
Also got a 51 on the CLEP exam using this as one of my resources. I could've done way better, but History is honestly not my strongest subject. Thank you!!!
what other sources did you use
Very helpful video and I passed because of it. Thank you again for quality instructors.
That's great news! Glad we could help!
I took the test on Tuesday. Along with this video and two practice tests I passed with a 54. Thank you.
That's awesome! So glad we could be of help to you.
Did you just watch the video or take notes also? I take the CLEP next month and trying to figure out the best way to retain all this information in such a short period of time.
@@talkn2julie I took notes while watching to make sure I was paying attention. After that, I took 2 practice tests. It was about 1 week of studying.

this vid helped me pass the CLEP exam thank you!
The young lady in this video is good i have to take my clep exam soon i hope this helps me out...here is an update I took my clep last week and passed. This video did help a bit but I do recommend doing further research the clep exam did cover more topics then explained in this video. As I said before the video is very informative the young lady is very detailed in her explanation. Thanks for the assistance.
1:23:15 they actually drafted the Declaration of Independence from June 11- July 1. July 2 was the date we declared independence and July 4 was the date congress approved the final text.
This video got me to a 46 I know I could’ve done better. Worth another try so close!!!!

did you only watch this video for prep?
Instead of using the exact date can I use the century

can anyone confirm if this worked to pass the CLEP exam
This is not enough to pass CLEP exam. The exam requires much much much more detail information. I was very surprised by the exam asked about so detail events and someone's speeches a lot which I have never seen on the books. Also, it is so busy to make answers of 120 questions for 90 minutes. It is a crazy exam.
StudioGom I took it and thought I had it in the bag, but I missed a ton of little things. I got a 43 which is halfway decent for a first time.
Got this test tmrw. Let's see what happens...
Good luck on your exam!
@@MometrixTestPrep Passed with a 68 thank you!
@@unknown360ful what exactly was on it? im taking it in a few days and i want to know what to study exactly, otherwise i crowd my head a lot and lose my train of thought
@@ignaciorosales9295 Umm I took it a while back so I don't remember much but I will let you know this: it is easier than you make it for yourself. The questions were some out of left field but I recommend watching CLEP Guinea Pig's video on it bc he tells you some of the questions/topics that were on it. He was right. I remember his topics being on there.
It’s covered US history 1,
Why is this not chronological?
its not like the test is going to be cronological
History is really not chronological either
@@rayflores9854 yes it is…

It is the same material that you will be tested on by the collegeboard, it is not like the history has changed, the questions may change and you should expect a wide variety of questions as this test has you memorize 300 years worth of history
God bless you guys for taking the time to make this video. You did your countrymen/women a great service ❤ 🫡
