I love the 90s european style music here. never knew that was any popular in japan.
Oh, it definitely was. Initial D was huge around that time and the anime had a ton of Eurobeat in the soundtrack. On the Saturn itself, you've got games like Sega Touring Car Championship and DJ Wars which also feature European artists like Channel X.

Where did you attain this from by the way ?
Sega Partners, which I think was Sega's fan-outreach / promotional arm in Japan at the time, released several multimedia discs with all kinds of neat stuff on them. I spliced these videos together from their first disc. There will be four more on the way over the next week or two.

The saturn at its peak... it's sad they killed it the next year ... I guess it could face the psx until 2000 if it was a little bit more pushed...
Saturn was still going very strong in Japan through 1998, and did get a couple releases there in 1999 and 2000. The rest of the world wasn't as fortunate. :\
That's sad... I really really wanted it to beat Playstation, or at least battle as the Mega Drive did against the SNES... I loved the Sega Arcade Games back then and really wanted they ported more games to the saturn... Like Indy 500... at least on the Dreamcast... later
rbocalini It's funny. Sega created versions of Indy 500 for the crappy R-Zone and Gamecom but couldn't be bothered to port it to any of their own hardware.
