It's very clear if you can read Japanese. The first boss starts with a message from the bird that reads "on defeating the sound... use Muscle Tempo says the bird". The controls are fine. The game just needs a translation.
I keep editing this as I go. Once again, the game makes it pretty clear when you are being debriefed by Major Minor before each level. Don't knock on the game because you can't read Japanese. The BREMEN MUSICIANS are the main point of that level (ghost musician animals). It's not Super Tempo's fault you can't read Japanese.
My favorite level is the one you hate the most. Again. It's not THE GAME'S FAULT that YOU can't read Japanese.
    My original comment:
My top 3 Saturn games are NiGHTS into Dreams, Super Tempo and Magic Knight Rayearth. I do speak Japanese. しかし、僕の日本語は気まずい!👻

I am aware it isn't the games fault I can't read japanese. My point by including that information is that this game isn't import friendly to pretty much anyone that can't. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the game however, and while I didn't hate it, I just found it mostly frustrating and vague, and a lot of that has nothing to do with not being able to read japanese.
I do appreciate your comment and your point of view- I don't get a lot of comments actually disagreeing with me so that was refreshing. Hopefully it didn't turn you off from the rest of the channel!

@@nastybedazzler Wow. I have a lot of respect for you for that. Fair enough it isn't as import friendly as, say, Willy Wombat or Tryrush Deppy. It is the best of the Tempo games and one of the best platformers of that generation. The game is clear and easy, however, if one can read what's going on which is exactly why I know it deserves a fan translation. I mean the fact someone translated Ninpen Manmaru and NOT Super Tempo is quite baffling. Ninpen Manmaru isn't nearly as fun and hasn't even aged as well as other 3D platformers of that generation. Also games like Grandia have been translated which is redundant since the game is already available in English elsewhere. People ignore/dismiss Super Tempo without realizing how funny it is because they can't read it.

There’s a lot of things I disagree with in this review I love the Tempo series and Super Tempo is a legitimately great game with easy controls, smooth animation, beautiful art direction and memorable music. Even Without being able to read Japanese I was able to get through the game easily (for the most part) there were so minor frustration but for the most part it’s a very solid game! The game isn’t really cryptic with it’s puzzles (especially) in Japanese where it tells you the solutions to puzzles! But even with the language barrier I was able to beat it, and I greatly enjoyed my time with it. If I can beat Densetsu No Stafy without being able to read Japanese (and that’s a very dialogue heavy game) you should be able to beat Super Tempo.

I did beat Super Tempo, but it was a frustrating experience. I know I'm in the minority because a lot of people commented telling me how much they love the game, and it's definitely one I'll go back to and try again in the future. That happens a lot, some of my favorite games now, when I first played them I hated them. Like Mushihimesama Futari. For some reason I hated that game for years, and now it's one of my favorite games ever.
      Regardless, thanks for watching!

I know the difference between Tempo and Katy from the first game and this one. In the first one, Tempo, from the Sega 32x, they had 4 arms. In Super Tempo, this game, they had 2 arms. They took two arms away from him. Basically, a recreation of them.

@@nastybedazzler I've seen this game for about 3 years now, and I still know them today. Oh, by the way, I am going to be uploading a video pretty soon. It's going to be me voicing Tempo. And one more thing, thanks for your content, and I hope to see you there very soon.

Have you played Keio Flying Squadron 2? I honestly think it's slightly better than Super Tempo, but i still swear Super Tempo would be awesome if someone translated it. It's really funny Japanese humor.

There is nothing wrong with being obsessed with Metal Slug or Kirby.....

Metal Slug is such an amazing series I've yet to play one I didn't think was the best at what it was doing. Kirby I intend to cover more of since his NES game was so awesome, in fact I almost did Kirby Air Ride on Gamecube this week since I still haven't done a GC game yet, but I got distracted with something else I've wanted to cover for awhile. Maybe I'll hit up Kirby again sometime in the next few weeks.
Also if you ever have suggestions let me know. I've got a huge list of games I'm interested in checking out but since you are watching most of my videos if you've got suggestions I'm down for taking requests.
