  • This walk takes in the three Letterewe and Fisherfield Munros Beinn Tarsuinn, A' Mhaighdean and Ruadh Stac Mor. Starting from Incheril at Kinlochewe we used bikes to cover the initial 10km into Lochan Fada before looping around the tops. A cracking weather day, warm with little wind.... just perfect.

What a great way to approach those hills. We cycled up past the heights of Kinlochewe one evening last year and enjoyed a double rainbow I believe the Cape Wrath Trail uses the same footpath as you did to get to Lochan Fhada. The path looked to be very good and the weather was kind once again. Fisherfield is a special place, and the view from Ruadh Stac Mhor down the line of lochs to Carnmore is amazing! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jane, I won't be walking anything like as much without the poles as my knees aren't great and they definately benefit from the additional support particularly coming downhill. They also help with balance and rhythm on the level and going uphill. Give them a try and I'm sure you'll enjoy the benefits with a bit of practice.
