- This walk from Kinloch Hourn takes in the single Munro Ladhar Bheinn. Having previously missed the top a month earlier we took the opportunity of a short weather window to complete our 5th (Mike) and 6th Munro rounds.
The days weather held up and we were rewarded with some stunning views.
Congratulations on completing another round Charlie. Your videos in the Scottish mountains are an inspiration for my own adventures

Running towards a Munro completion kinda runs away with you and you end up pushing bigger days with longer drives it'll be nice just to settled back into a bit of normality.

We've had some great experiences and adventures through the years with bucket loads of laughs on the way. The journey goes on but it will be good just to settle back into normal hill mode. Cheers

Congratulations Charlie & Mike on your latest compleations, an outstanding achievement for you both. As usual you made this epic day look easy. By coincidence in June 2005 the final Munro of my 1at round was also Ladhar Bheinn. My friend David & I conpleated on the same day. Since then slowly working way through a possible 2nd round with lots of repeats closer to home. Here's to your 7th & 6th rounds! ATB Derek 👍
Hi Derek, Many thanks... It's certainly not a common top to complete on and it wasn't in our plans are we neared the end of the round but things just happened that way. Oddly enough we have also completed on Meall Buidhe with the boat in from Mallaig and walking through to Kinloch Hourn. Happy days.. Hope your 2nd round goes well and I wish you many clear tops. They go a long way to compensate for the fact that can't climb mountains any more, help to remind me of the unparalleled sense of freedom and exhilaration and enable me to feel some of that again. Dear Charlie and Mike, many congratulations on an extraordinary achievement in getting round the entire Munros so often. But in my view even more inspiring is the way you put these videos out so that a novice like me can see what’s ahead and nurture a deeper love for these wonderful hills in Scotland. The weather was reasonably kind to you. Not one I have done yet, but it is in my sights. So what next gents, 6th and 7th round or the Corbetts or Grahams? I did note that at the end of this video, you did not finish with your customary “ We’ll catch you on the next one”. I had a really enjoyable discussion over a glass of wine regarding Munro rounds and wether I was a banker (bank all Munros I had visited multiple times for future rounds) or a golfer (finishing a round and start from the beginning regardless of what you have visited multiple times) really interesting and definitely generated some chat!! 👍
@@PAADVENTURES1 Its all good stuff.... Munro lists aren't a big deal but its probably more important to focus on getting outdoors and taking all the health benefits that walking the hills can give 👍

Hi Alistair, Yes, our dad completed the Munros in 1986 and got us started on our journey. As you say, it's staggering just how many tops you accumulate through the years but probably not surprising when you have 40 years walking under my belt. Cheers

Ladhar Bheinn was my final Munro, way back in 2001. I'd be way behind you on a hill (me too slow) and in terms of rounds. I'm approaching my 2nd completion so way behind your 6th.

I bet you could do most of the Munros with your eyes closed 😂 perfect one to finish on, it was good to see the full route that I turned back on earlier this year.. I’m glad I turned back as the ridge gets narrow! I might do it like this to bag it in the future.. whats next? A 7th round? 😁 Cheers, James
Hi James, I remember your visit and you were right to turn back. The shoulder goes on a bit but it's an absolutely cracking top. I've 100+ already done on the 7th round but that's not going to happen. We'll settle back into a bit walking normality and ignore the bloody list 🤣Take care, Cheers

I watch all your videos and thoroughly enjoy them. I particularly enjoy: great camerawork; clear demonstration of the routes involved; and the nonchalant way you calmly knock off some huge routes! I’ve successfully benefited in the past from some of your more unusual routes that obviously come from such a deep knowledge of the hills.

What are your favourites and least favourites?
Hi Marko, Its difficult to single out tops but Torridon and Skye are up there with Liathach probably my favourite. I don't have a least favourite as we tend to visit the more mundane tops during the winter which adds another element and changes the challenge of the day.
Getting out into the outdoors regardless of the target is never a bad thing 👍 Cheers

Amazing persistence. How do you do it? I’m stalled two thirds of the way through Round 2. And that walk was not trivial. The path to Barrisdale is a lot more tedious than you made it look. Congratulations on your achievements and thank you for the series of excellent videos.
Hello, I think it helps that there is two of us with identical drive and targets and drag each other along through the highs and lows. As you'll know, completing a round just gets harder as your total goes up but it's all good fun. Cheers
