2:09 No players are not allowed to fight. It always draws a penalty, not to mention it drives the head coach crazy. If it's a egregious, then one or both players are ejected. Plus the player at fault is often fined by the League Office.
These guys often trash talk each other all game, and depending on how the game is unfolding, one player will often get frustrated and take a shot at his opponent. Football like most sports is extremely emotional, and cooler heads don't always prevail.

7:25 But I think this is during team camp somebody else here might have better knowledge. Less than one percent of college players are drafted into the NFL and even then, most will have to earn their way onto the rooster and some established players have to fend off Rookies who are via for their spot or give unwanted advice.

As far as I can tell, this was a practice scrimmage between Houston and Washington, likely in training camp before the season started. @UKreacts prior to the regular season, there is training camp which lasts several weeks. It starts with drills, moves to intrasquad games, then to a pair of teams scrimmaging against one another, and then finally a few full preseason games (except for last year when the Covid protocols limited player contact during the preseason). This looks like two teams (the Texans and the Redskins as they were known then) in a practice scrimmage moderately early in the preseason.

7:25 The NFL Practice Squad is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. The practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. In addition, it provides replacement players for the main roster when players are needed as the result of injuries or other roster moves.

In the second clip he was blocking him. If your team has the ball but you don't you block a befender, so that's one less defender to tackle the ball carrier. Tensions were probably rising between them and when he went to block the guy jumped so he threw him down.

  • @kenney0313

No headshots are allowed for the last decade or so, but we grew up learning to ear-hole the ball carrier or a potential tackler. The ear-hole shot sounds like a canon went off in your helmet, so the old saying 'head on a swivel' applies at all times.

Consider this: Ronnie Lott broke his pinky finger, broke it badly enough that they wanted to use pins to secure the finger for healing and the time for it to heal would have been several weeks. Ronnie Lott did NOT want to miss any games.... so he had his finger AMPUTATED so he could get back in the game. That is hard core. But he is on record that he wishes he did not do it, you can not exactly regrow a new finger. www.si.com/nfl/2014/06/17/nfl-history-in-95-objects-ronnie-lott-amputated-pinkie-finger

6:25 This was a legendary battle between Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman who were considered top in the league at their position. You can definitely see that the play is clean for a while. It is indeed normal for players to block or shove each other away trying to protect a runner or to free themselves to catch the ball, but each of these physical yet legal plays turned into fights until OBJ was finally banned for a game.

Refs throw their hat when they have already thrown their flag. It's how they signal for a second penalty.
During training camp (before the season starts) some teams like to do a week or so of practice with another team. Usually the coaches are friends or something.

  • @chaosXP3RT
    @chaosXP3RT 3 роки тому

You can't unnecessarily target/hit people, stomp on people, throw punches or make helmet-to-helmet contact, but other than that, body slams and other wrestling moves are pretty okay. You can block people (but not in the back. No shoving people from behind). You can hit, tackle or knock down anyone pursuing the ball-carrier or anyone jumping to catch the ball. You cannot grab someone. That's a "Holding" penalty. You cannot tackle someone before they catch the ball or block their hands. That's a "Pass Interference" penalty because it's considered unfair to prevent someone from catching the ball. If the ball is going to reach me before you do, you can totally keep running full sprint and hit me, because I had a fair opportunity to catch the ball. A good receiver goes for the ball no matter what. A good defender makes the receiver hesitate to go for the ball.

Which left the Dallas fans with high animosity. He then got to his last team which you see here is the San Francisco 49ers. Every time he played against Dallas with the eagles or the 49ers he was hated. So he decided to disrespect the logo...just as moss chose to rub himself on the Packers goal post. Its a straight up insult to the other team and the fans

Another gem mate...........HOWEVER if you're looking for savage football......you've got to go back a couple decades, before they cared about saving face.........i mean concussions.
The first 2 plays are happening during the play. The first play was probably during a turnover.....#54 was on defense.........the second play was more than likely a run play......and you always "play thru the whistle".
It's not a fight.....but if you're team is losing and/or you're getting beat by your personal matchup, tempers flare, and players start "fighting".......it is illegal, but frustration is typical, not to mention, a lot of these guys are talking trash the ENTIRE game (whether its intentional or not) and some ppl "lose it"
There are a fuck ton of Alpha Males in football.......bunch of ppl who don't handle losing well....which works well in this competitive environment.
Is that man mentally stable??? No.......but then again, you have to be to play football, especially before they changed the rules (for concussion purposes).

There are no flags for most of these and off the ball battles happen every play.
Offense players without the ball try to block defense players that attempt to tackle or are in the way of the offensive ball carrier.
It is penalty to "hold" a defensive player which is exactly what it sounds like, but as a blocker you can knock them to the ground or muscle them and push them back/away from the ball carrier.
It is a penalty if you "throw" a block to the back of a defensive player.
Also 2 players blocking 1 defensive player, if one of the blocks high and the other blocks low (legs) is a penalty and called a "chop block" and is very dirty and dangerous.
