@mbrum3230 Last year and also the year before. This year they shifted their identity to a run first team. That's why things changed and he is throwing less.
Jalen passed for 300 yards and ran for 70 and tried to win the Super Bowl alone last time. He’s learned not to try to do it alone.
Sanders wouldn't follow his blocks. It was very frustrating. I thought the eagles could have gotten Ezekiel Elliott following his blocks, with the Jalen Hurts draw the defense effect, and won games. I think Elliot with Jalen Hurts is a thousand yard bell cow old.
Saquon is like getting AJ brown. Whenever the eagles had Jalen reager I just wanted somebody who could run the right route, catch and give effort to block. Not necessarily great. Just good. Whenever they got AJ brown I figured Hurts was going to be MVP. In my opinion he was MVP even with the two missed games because mahomes had stinker games that year. Hurts was dominant.
The next season hurts starts with ten wins and Swift won't follow blocking in big moments. So Hurts took all of the important runs. Too many Hurts hits and he's done the last five games. So saquon Barkley works with his line and hurts doesn't have to run as much. Yes saquon Barkley is spectacular. However if Shipley was doing the job, they'd move the chains regular. Gainwell doesn't follow blocking as well. He's better just being around Barkley. I used to say that if Hurts had a running back who was as good as reading the run as he was he'd be unstoppable. Like no Hurts isn't a great running back. Like Emmett Smith was five yards and a cloud of dust. But Barkley takes that ideal to the next level.
@ I agree with all of that lol. I feel like there isn’t a team esp the chiefs that can stop what we do now. You have to out power our line and saquon and hurts. No one’s been able too.

The lack of production in the passing game is really due to the scheme. When Jalen is getting pressured he literally has no one to throw to because the receivers are all running 15 yd plus routes and their backs are turned to him when he is trying to redirect receives when he scrambles.
A prime example of that was the Green Bay game

@@illcauze6108 Do you watch the games? This offense has ZERO timing routes, no quick slants, and nothing over the middle of the field. Almost every time they show Hurts getting sacked they zoom out and show that no receivers are open. They need to throw more quick slants to AJ and passes over the middle to Dallas and Devonte Smith. The offense stalls multiple times a game because they are scheming for home run plays and not the easy 1st downs.

Mahomes is easily the most overrated and definitely not Jalen hurts he’s called bad by most people so there is no possible way he’s overrated. They lost 36-33 to the commanders when he got a concussion and then beat them by 32 the next time
