They recently redid a bunch of crosswalks around here, probably to bring them up to current ADA standards although you'd need detailed before and after pictures to even spot the difference. In doing so they had to cut out the whole bike lane at every crosswalk to redo the cement and then patch the pavement afterwords. Several of those have had the potholes fixed more than once.

The deliveryman puts packages in this "locker" and to get your package out you either type in your phone number and code you've received or you open it using the dedicated app. If you use the second method, the app tells you which exact door will open (in case there is more than one person opening at the same time)

with regard to the first one, the standards of food packaging design and manufacturing have really gone down the shitter in the last few years it's now very common for lids to have a tear-to-open tab that doesn't work at all, and just comes off without moving the lid at all when you try to tear it, forcing you to open it with a knife, unless you want to spend 30 minutes trying to part the lid from the rim of the container and making a huge mess of plastic or foil the most likely explanation is that the lids have been made thinner, but the temperature of induction sealing has not been reduced to accommodate this, which means the lids get welded to the container

1:27 That's just a masher now. Could also work as a unique slicer if you want spaghetti-shaped slices. Better than just throwing it out or buying other utensils that this botched fork could fulfill the purpose of just the same.
Roast Chicken Flavor is the very best cup noodles. It's really annoying that you can't get it in the affordable packs, it's only available in the cups.
2:13 It's a tradition in the Southern US to eat black-eyed peas, cabbage/collared greens, ham, and cornbread on New Year's for good luck, health, and fortune (the food isn't going to do all those things obviously, but it's still a fun tradition. And it's pretty tasty too!)
Robin there was no option D, just 2 B’s!
To be fair, I prefer Double B's. D's are just too much.
@@charlieschuder9976 B’s or D’s, it’s all good to me
Would double b be a c or would it be a d? Double d are technically e, so I'd think it would be a c. But what if it meant two sets of b, then it would be adding the sizes together. But then again, double a is smaller than a. So when do we change it from additive to subtractive? Is the middle muplicative? @@charlieschuder9976
0:29 those are temporary crosswalks that are like tarmac on tape that you heat up to stick to the tarmac surface but are also easily removable.
14:37 yes that's finnish and norwegian, just backwards. It's also a calcium water filter if anyone was wondering
2:53 the little USB thing looks like a little man/creature sort of thing and now I will never be able to unsee it
but on the bright side, it looks freaking adorable
14:40 As a finn I can confirm that those flags have been placed incorrectly.
...I now possess a desire to have twins, solely to name them 'Odin' and 'Chick Fil-A' and watch the chaos ensue.

fr, sometimes they seem to use literally superglue at those factories, making it impossible to open without ripping the coverage
13:45 no no, I have this exact figure and those are surprisingly the right arms.
10:52 Seasons don't fear the reaper
But they failed the final countdown
@@OmniscientWarrior yeah shot through the heart and their to blame.
I feel like salt and pepper go with water as far as 'shouldn't count as an ingredient'. That USB sign is probably just "plug your USB charger here" too, since you're not really supposed to plug into random USB ports because of the chance of shenanigans with plugging a data cable into unknown holes.
This is just me doing a web search so I could be wrong, but I believe the S&R retailer from 8:49 is in the Philippines, at which point 1,499 Philippine Pesos is equal to about... 26 US bucks.

I suppose "Single use" because you can only use them once...when you do, you can't even use them anymore because you can't buy them
I recently bought a new microwave & "start" is in red, "stop" in green. I'm annoyed daily.
same except start is red, stop is blue....very annoying
On the PlayStation controller, the o was supposed to be accept and the x was deny or go back. Some games are like that, most are Japanese.
A tradition in some places is to eat a specific meal on New Years for good luck. That meal is Corned Beef, Cabbage, and Black Eyed Peas.
Good to see some Dutch representation. Even if it's on a somewhat negative subreddit. And for those wondering. It's the scythe microphone.
Could you explain why the Dutch want a scythe microphone? It's just not an object I would ever think to sing into.
@@BahKnee I meant more like it was a Dutch webpage. We don't really get a lot of those in the subreddits. As for why someone would want a scythe microphone? You should probably ask one of the people who actually bought one.
Ok, sorry I thought maybe it was some sort of cultural thing I didn't know about.@@SomeRandomDutchGuy1
@@BahKnee speaking as a dutchy: omg that would be hilarious 🤣
for the five ingredients one, I can actually explain that. A lot of the time they don't count water, as Robin said, but they also don't count seasoning as a true ingredient, things like salt, pepper, or herbs.

When someone tells you can name your son the king of Asgard, but you're more concerned with the fact they put the name Frank there.
To be honest... if you wanted to be really authentic... (as far as I know) then Wothnaz would be the correct name to use which sounds like it could be male or female... so... odin approved.
Eating black-eyed peas on New years Day is supposed to be good luck.
Dude, what music are they going to play with the scythe microphone? Come on man... Death metal!
13:38 Looks like a real-life Sid from Toy story made the Dinosaur, Lol
11:24 LMAO THATS MY CITY its in turkey, adana!!
my city is adana too! i am not the only one thats burning here
That newly paved road was probably done by the same crew that "Repaves" after utility work that only F's up a small section of the road around my town. They recently redid a bunch of crosswalks around here, probably to bring them up to current ADA standards although you'd need detailed before and after pictures to even spot the difference. In doing so they had to cut out the whole bike lane at every crosswalk to redo the cement and then patch the pavement afterwords. EVERY, SINGLE, ONE of those patches was uneven from day one and most turned into giant pot holes you could loose a bike down withen a month. Several of those have had the potholes fixed more than once.
15:20 OP clearly diddn't realize that there were letters missing, as they said there were some "extra" letters, which means the employee was just dumb. If there was a good reason, then it may not be the employee's fault. Since I'm assuming this is "you had one job", then the distinction IS important.
The best boy name by far, "Chick-Fil-A"
very vintage
@@lazypatatoto I mean, it's from the 40's. Like Finius or Esther, I can't remember the last time I met a Chic-Fil-A.
I would say that we need to bring back Black Dynamite, but then everyone will use it and it will become an overly popular name.

at 2:16, I recently learned that there is a meal in the US south commonly consumed during new years that contains rice and black eyed peas. i think it's called hoppin' john and as leftovers, skippin' jenny. it could totally not be the reason but it's still a possibility.

5:25 the upside down ad is on purpose. They have a raffle going, find one of the upside-down ones, call at a certain time during the show and say where you found it, and you win money.
3:05 I wonder whether they've just attached the door wrong or did they mess up the entire column arrangement (idk how they assemble these), because if the columns are switched then the app probably shows wrong door too...
Also for context, because I've heard these aren't a thing in some places, this is a package collection spot. The deliveryman puts packages in this "locker" and to get your package out you either type in your phone number and code you've received or you open it using the dedicated app. If you use the second method, the app tells you which exact door will open (in case there is more than one person opening at the same time)
8:33 Yeah it's $26
S&R is like costco here.
13:58 don't look up the Gympie-Gympie plant nor the story of a WW2 soldier that cleaned himself with it during a training mission in Austrailia
4:02 Have you noticed that the ones that are more than 5 ingredients either have water or salt and pepper as ingredients? It's funny how they don't consider basic seasoning as ingredients.
The noodle cup could be because of the packaging. Some varieties are harder to open and will go all over the place if you manage to get it open using the tab.
2:33 Both problem fixed and problem solved sound okay to me.
YOOO I made that post about the locker and I will answer any questions about it. The reason why I go that way is because it is the fastest to get to my class which is on the other side of the campus

9:28 I'm also 90% sure that those tanks are American M1A1 Abrams tanks, could be that they are trying to keep it uniform but that's where my mind went first.

"5 ingredients or less" might not be counting the water, salt, or pepper, since you are nearly 100% likely to already have it.
5:20 no, that's installed either for australians in other countries or for tourists in australia.
2:13 In some areas of the US, you eat pork flavored black eyed peas or Hoppin John on New Years to bring good luck (wealth) in the new year
How the hell did they fuck up a crosswalk that bad?!
with regard to the first one, the standards of food packaging design and manufacturing have really gone down the shitter in the last few years
it's now very common for lids to have a tear-to-open tab that doesn't work at all, and just comes off without moving the lid at all when you try to tear it, forcing you to open it with a knife, unless you want to spend 30 minutes trying to part the lid from the rim of the container and making a huge mess of plastic or foil
the most likely explanation is that the lids have been made thinner, but the temperature of induction sealing has not been reduced to accommodate this, which means the lids get welded to the container
free coffee for 1$ one is the dumbest one yet lmao

The new year’s superstition of black eyed peas is to bring good health; eating collard greens, spinach, or something green is suppose to bring wealth.

All noodles are called “noods” now. Macaroni and cheese? “Cheesy noods.” Cup ramen? “Cup noods.”

I know a lot of those "X number of ingredients" recipes don't count ingredients they expect you to already have. Like, sugar, water, flour, rice, etc.
