i still dont understand why Terrans are the only one to have a raisable wall section. Protoss are forced to waste a unit between building gaps, zerg are designed not to need a wall, terrans do not have to worry about accidently pulling their wall away from where it needs to be.
In a few games now we are starting to see protoss find new angles while attacking terran. I see it as a mirror of when terran gets tanks in position and goes, “now its your problem, try and dislodge them”. We are starting to see protoss push their armies in, and hold position the stalkers and zealots while moving the colossus around, or like in the last game using stalkers to put pressure on the terrans buildings without taking fire which forces terran to have to slowly reposition the tanks. Its pretty cool that we are starting to see new tactics and positional play after more than a decade.
@@laureloneiros1500 because their core design philosphy behind all their units are mobility and DPS which, as the pros get better and better mean their efficiency increases. They don't need new strats it you can eek out a bit more DPS with better micro.

Nefts to collosus, void rays, warp in speed, zealot health etc. In addition since we're 10+ years into this game the more it gets figured out the harder it is to trick opponents into miss reading builds or timings. So while I still hold that (Slow, Powerful, Deception) are their core philosophy -- I'd say that the current Protoss doesn't have the strength or deception neccisary to really compete. That said, the new meta shifts will absolutely increase the deception possibilities and we'll see P win rates increase for a time and I'd expect them to settle back down. Not that anyone asked, but I'd also mention that changes to the speed of protoss units (tempest in this patch) are incredibly useful but lazy since they go against the core philosophy of the race.

This game does not highlight that at all. It highlights that if Protoss doesn't do significant damage early it's almost impossible to win against Terran.
terran bio needs straight nerfs, no compensatory buffs, no counter nerfs to other races: -EMP needs fundamental changes, either removing shied damage entirely or adding a telegraphed delay so it isn't instant, massive AoE damage -stim duration nerf, not likely to change things in lower levels where the entire duration of the stim is rarely used effectively, but makes kiting against terran more punishing when micro'd -marauder damage nerf (bonus vs armored reduced from 10 to 7 or 8) -medivac HP or boost ability nerf. Medivac effectively grants the entire bio army flight, the fact that they can match the speed of mutalisks and phoenixes for about 60% of most maps' lengths is insane and disgusting to watch when the bio army is jumping up and down between the main and the third/fourth locations "Balance" council keep trying to make terran mech viable (which is a questionable cause already since it adds more winning builds to an already dominant race), but the truth is that mech will never be used outside occasional mind-games versus super-zergs like Serral because bio is already too reliable.
I too was a marine hater until others showed me the correct path. The issue is the medivac. The mobility and stim healing its the problem. Its also what makes mines even more deadly against Protoss.

5-6 collosus with the army to support it at your door step meaning if you have your Terran or Zerg army at their base they are royalty fucked cause stalkers, zealots or whatever emergency units Toss have are pretty shit alone + the colossus takes too much supply and has low dps against building and big units so they take too long to clear stuffs. You just stall them long enough, crush their tech buildings and all of a sudden Protoss has nothing to make but zealots. The strategy can work but only if you opponent is behind or can’t react fast enough. In this case, Byun scanned the army composition and decided to run forward with part of his army while leaving just enough to stall the Toss army behind defensive structures and buildings. You have to balance your army, like how it works in game 4. Plus Hero plan got hit with the reinforcement warp prism got destroyed during the attack is also a factor. It makes the Toss army losing the mean to reinforce its army during a base trade battle.

One EMP can drain all the shields (about half hp) of more than 15 units. How does that make any sense? Which other ability in the game has the ability to INSTANTLY delete half the health of MULTIPLE units?
It makes sense because it used to be balanced, but as players got better things got unbalanced. Games got faster, as in more active all throughout and slow units in particular are left in the dust. High templars are a fantastic counter to ghosts but actually they aren't because they are too slow. Feedback is instant at range 10, but high templars need more speed, from their current 2,8 to 3,5 or more even. Even 3,9 (ghost speed) might not be too crazily.
Honestly I don’t think EMP is that huge of an issue but I do think that Ghosts as an overall package are too strong. They’re just as good of casters as High Templar and Infestors but they’re also actually pretty good fighting units and pretty durable as well. They just don’t have any weaknesses so there’s no downside to just building 20 of them and using them like marines on steroids. I think they should have an armor modifier placed on them such as light so that their survivability isn’t so crazy - they already have the best survivability between their basic attacks fighting potential, cloak, and that they can be healed by medivacs. They’re the only caster in the game that can just stand their ground and survive through their combat ability and as a result they don’t have to be micromanaged as much and can fight directly with the army

EMP is can blanket the entire protoss army removing all shields of almost all protoss units, removing 100 energy on all casters (including pheonix) and even prevents buildings such as the nexus and shield batteries from using their abilities. No one is listening to your "protoss is OP" garbage anymore, you filthy terran. Nerf not just ghosts but ALL of terran

Game 1 shows that game still has lack of balance. Widow mines are still so powerful that having 5-6 of them practitally stops enemy army. Rebalance wont work here, rework is necessary.
It doesn't require upgrades, it's a more or less instant cast, it's still quite strong AND Ghosts are a solid fighting unit by themselves. It needed a little bonk with the nerfbat at the very least; #trufaxx

The Mothership having it's old cloak mechanic wouldn't be unbalanced. Ironically Protoss is the race that would have the hardest time dealing with cloak. Zerg would take a bit of effort but their used to dealing with mines and ghosts. All Terran builds have the counter built in from the early the game and all their unit comps shoot up x2. Heaven forbid they have to use a scan and not just emp to get rid of it+shields... If they want to style they could even build a detector unit.

Managing queens is more macro i think, unless you mean transfusion and focus fire medivacs when queens are pulled to defend. As for terrans, they are probably the race that scales the most with micro, note: micro, not apm. Managing one medivac is not a miracle, but managing 2 of them and the main army at the same time is a lot harder. Also, i think zerg has more units that force terran to micro than protoss. Corrosive bile, banelings, fungal, parasitic bomb, all of them can delete bio army in seconds if not careful. I mean, there are more, but lurkers should not come to you as a suprise like a burrowed infestor might. Splitting, target firing, these applies to almost all terran units. If terran can just stutter step or A move, that means you (opponent) build wrong army, and probably are down in either army supply, upgrades or out of position.

Zerg probably for macro. Protoss? no idea. It's not that terran is broken (although they could use a small nerf), but the problem is protoss has been nerfed heavly in recent patches and is underpreforming in both PvT and PvZ matchups lately.
Byun even had that first game if he kept up mental. He literally destroyed a huge and tech heavy force that protoss can't rebuild easily while bio is strong against all of it, low and high tech.

It's getting to be too frustrating to watch SC... it's gross how strong Terran is vs Protoss. Every unit is just better. They either flat out destroy their counter parts, or have better versatility etc. Mostly the the former. Protoss has to play an absolutely perfect game to win. The first time they falter, the game falls apart. It's dumb.
Its funny that everyone knows terran needs a nerf, and not a buff that they say is a nerf. it will NEVER happen. the balancers are BIAS to keep terran or zerg 1st. they have personal reasons affecting balancing. this will never change. this game is dead and has been dead and will never recover because the refusal to properly make it a 3 race game instead of 2. Terran has too much political power in the community "balance team". they are low lifes, with no potential or inner qualities. they will NEVER balance properly by internal design.
Just had one idea, what if medivacs would allow the marines to shut out as if they where in a bunker? Oh! that would be a good game changer as terrans would get their troops even shooting from the air inside the medivacs! please consider like if you think its a cool idea
And We often hear Protoss players complain about the "buffs" to Terran, extending into the current season. It's interesting because Protoss has the potential to employ the same strategies we saw Hero use in Game 1, by expanding aggressively, much like a Zerg or a Mad Dog, with a constant stream of production and relentless map control pressure. We haven't even seen the Mass Carriers being produced yet. Furthermore, Protoss players often voice their concerns about the strength of Bio units and the strength of Mech compositions and their unconventional "turtle" strategies that somehow yield them a high number of victories. It's as if we created the Cyclone to level the playing field, only to have Terran players lament the challenges they've faced since the inception of this game. It makes you wonder if our perspective might sometimes be perceived as egocentric, egotistical, self-absorbed, self-indulgent, selfish, or egoistic. One man only know and learn how to feel when pain are inflected on them. Shall we just remove the Terrace race for good to keep them happy? LOL
Damn that's a good way of showing to the world that you're a clown. Have you seen the amount of economical damage that ByuN has suffered ? Does that not equate to an instant loss to any other race except Terran ? You're a clown if you think Terran is not overpowered right now. It took Hero 10 more minutes than it should have to end the game. Goes to show how overpowered Terran defenses are. And how easy it is to build an economy back after losing more than a third of your workers. He then loses his most important unit. The raven. Keeps losing mules and SCVs while getting out macroed. Game was somehow still "close" till the very end.

Managing queens is more macro i think, unless you mean transfusion and focus fire medivacs when queens are pulled to defend.
As for terrans, they are probably the race that scales the most with micro, note: micro, not apm. Managing one medivac is not a miracle, but managing 2 of them and the main army at the same time is a lot harder. Also, i think zerg has more units that force terran to micro than protoss. Corrosive bile, banelings, fungal, parasitic bomb, all of them can delete bio army in seconds if not careful. I mean, there are more, but lurkers should not come to you as a suprise like a burrowed infestor might.
Splitting, target firing, these applies to almost all terran units. If terran can just stutter step or A move, that means you (opponent) build wrong army, and probably are down in either army supply, upgrades or out of position.
@@AntiDoctor-cx2jd i don't mean this repair action, but you speaking in general about terran players, or your comment about pros' mmr. In general, terran has the highest micro skill ceiling. Zerg probably for macro. Protoss? no idea. It's not that terran is broken (although they could use a small nerf), but the problem is protoss has been nerfed heavly in recent patches and is underpreforming in both PvT and PvZ matchups lately.

It's getting to be too frustrating to watch SC... it's gross how strong Terran is vs Protoss. Every unit is just better. They either flat out destroy their counter parts, or have better versatility etc. Mostly the the former. Protoss has to play an absolutely perfect game to win. The first time they falter, the game falls apart. It's dumb.

Its funny that everyone knows terran needs a nerf, and not a buff that they say is a nerf. it will NEVER happen. the balancers are BIAS to keep terran or zerg 1st. they have personal reasons affecting balancing. this will never change. this game is dead and has been dead and will never recover because the refusal to properly make it a 3 race game instead of 2. Terran has too much political power in the community "balance team". they are low lifes, with no potential or inner qualities. they will NEVER balance properly by internal design.

Just had one idea, what if medivacs would allow the marines to shut out as if they where in a bunker? Oh! that would be a good game changer as terrans would get their troops even shooting from the air inside the medivacs!

And We often hear Protoss players complain about the "buffs" to Terran, extending into the current season. It's interesting because Protoss has the potential to employ the same strategies we saw Hero use in Game 1, by expanding aggressively, much like a Zerg or a Mad Dog, with a constant stream of production and relentless map control pressure. We haven't even seen the Mass Carriers being produced yet.
Furthermore, Protoss players often voice their concerns about the strength of Bio units and the strength of Mech compositions and their unconventional "turtle" strategies that somehow yield them a high number of victories. It's as if we created the Cyclone to level the playing field, only to have Terran players lament the challenges they've faced since the inception of this game. It makes you wonder if our perspective might sometimes be perceived as egocentric, egotistical, self-absorbed, self-indulgent, selfish, or egoistic. One man only know and learn how to feel when pain are inflected on them. Shall we just remove the Terrace race for good to keep them happy? LOL

You're a clown if you think Terran is not overpowered right now. It took Hero 10 more minutes than it should have to end the game. Goes to show how overpowered Terran defenses are. And how easy it is to build an economy back after losing more than a third of your workers. He then loses his most important unit. The raven. Keeps losing mules and SCVs while getting out macroed. Game was somehow still "close" till the very end.
Dude he killed 20 workers with oracles because the terran had cyclones out of position. The game should've been completely over.
