Maybe you should get your ears checked or better yet, actually analyze what he played in the context of the entire solo and not in context to what ever chord you’re looking at in the moment. Maybe then you could play in a ensemble like this one day instead of sitting in a YT comment section trying to criticize someone who clearly has a better understanding of improvisation, and in general the idioms of Jazz Trombone than you?!? Just a thought.

A technically perfect solo! You hit all the changes, but created no melody. Maybe focus less on the chords, and more on giving a tune.
For me, it‘s a great example for creating a melody. He develops his motives in a logic musical and harmonical way
