The WDR Big Band (all 3 of these guys play in that band) puts out awesome content every week, but this is perhaps my favorite from the last few years. Andy Hunter is always great, but this is *so* tasty.
the bass dude looks like man from UP this guys tone tickles my brain i love it :) also at 0:52 (third measure on screen) the last two notes are C and D flat
Dude, you beat me to this, it's on my list to start working on today! Don't want to watch it yet, but I'll come back here to see how I've done compared to you, the master😀. That said, any chance you'd do the alto solo too? Love that guy's playing.
This is my most common query! I tend not to do that I don't fall foul of copyright when selling the PDFs. I like to do standards (like this one) so the chords are readily available elsewhere.
@@RobEgertonJazzTranscriptions Oh really? You'd of course know more about copyright than me, surely chord progressions alone couldn't be copyright? No new songs would ever come out haha It's just great be able to see the relationship right away, it's why we transcribe after all. Great transcription though, very accurate.
that SPLAT pedal Bb was insane
loved that 🎉
That may have been the least insane thing he did ngl

His tone is so nice, even on those higher notes its so clean.
yeah but still kinda sounds like he's working hard yknow. Not a bad thing but some other players make up there sound incredibly easy
I had the opportunity of watching this guy solo in person! I think he plays 3rd trombone in the WDR Big Band
Only his sound is more than enough to get a great solo.
Good choice Rob 🎉

I agree, and it's not copyrighted either! What a great job to be part of this band!
Most appropriate title on UA-cam.
Thank you so much for transcribing my solo!
No problem!
Haha I don’t understand why my comment ended up here! I started typing during my video and when I pushed send this video had started
@@boneinjapan I did wonder!
it was indeed 🔥🔥
This is stunning
Solo divino!!! É só isso , e ponto final! Maravilhoso!!

He plays well.
WDR is a hell of band. My god.
Germany has a great tradition for radio Big Bands.

I'll have another look at the alto solo...
Is it possible for you to include chord symbols in the transcriptions? That would be much easier to see his harmonic choices x

butter
This is just delicious greasy as hell
What’s his name?
andy hunter played by where or when
Don't like the articulation in the middle range. But that was asome playing.
Huh there's no melody it's just a technique show off
