@@overwatch2671 he he! Hey, seriously, please tell me what you use your tanks for through the year. I want to use mine more. It really does seem like the fuel Kegs are made better than the king or the disposable.
Be very careful… Many of them leak. The company first told me that that was bound to happen especially when the weather gets warmer. I informed them that it was definitely not warm and so it shouldn’t have been happening so I asked them for a refund to which they replied that they would replace the tanks. Still not happy because I travel full-time and these are inside my van with me. Just be careful and watch for the leaks!
I saw another video where they just vent the remaining propane by hitting the lever on the brass fill pipe, that makes more sense to me, and I'm kind of shocked this video didn't include it.
I was with you until you started talking about the groove. I suggest you do a follow-up video to this with more detailed instructions as to what it is you're talking about and how it..."lines up".
There's a small groove on the inside that normal tanks don't have so it doesn't fill up a non refillable tank. The tool provided has a groove that aligns with the tank and allows them to work together. As for it being used on a 100lb tank I wouldn't recommend cuz you have to flip it upside down but otherwise I don't see why won't work
@totalcontrol871 if the tank you're filling the little one is supposed to be an outside tank for a home then no I don't think it will work. It needs to have the normal 20lb connector like the one you'd hook up to a grill. You then have to flip it so the fuel can flow into the 1lb tank because it's a liquid in the tank and flows better upside-down.
@dagmovin There is no way to get all of the propane out of the larger tank because the liquid propane comes out of the valve which sticks down into the tank so when the tank is inverted, at some point the level of propane goes below that valve and can not come out.
This system is legit. I bought this system last year, and it has literally paid for itself in one year
@overwatch2671 Thank you!
Literally? So it went to the store and gave them a credit card & got a receipt? Literally?
Fuel Keg has a mechanism on its neck that allows you to open the overflow
Valve with your fingers.... Eliminating the need for the dumb Allen wrench.

Just ordered the kit from Home Depot, this is a great idea.
Thanks 👍
Hope you enjoy it!
I have 4 of these, I purchased some small disk magnets that I placed on the bottom of the tanks where I placed the Allen key, works for me. 😎
Already have 4 of the small 1 pounders. Just ordered a 5 pound to use with my camping Blackstone
Just got mine today UPS love it are use a lot of the one pounders have for years too many of them blow up. Glad to go this route.👍

My brain hurt just reading your comment
@ that shows how small it is🤣🤣🤣

That propane in the refill adapter is still good to be filled in a tank and many of our customers are refilling multiple.
Is there supposed to be a green gasket on the top of😢the cylinder? One came with a gasket the other did not
Yes, there is supposed to be a green plastic sleeve to hold the O-Ring in place
You should explain or rather zoom in with the camera on the "groove that lines up".

Have you tried it yet? It was easy as pie
@@birdistheword1327 no, not yet. My 100lb tank is on back order. America is still coping with supply chain disruptions.

@alpine1549 even if the tank is made for horizontal operation?

Do the 1lb tanks need to be empty to refill or can you top them off when half used
It needs to be empty.
I topped off a half full cylinder earlier today with no problem.
@@flamekingproducts why?
What size in the hex key? In case I lose it.
@thewombat8039 the Allen key is 5/64" or 2mm

Do the coleman 1lb tanks fit onto this adapter
No it won't as the coleman tanks are not refillable.
@@flamekingproducts so will this tank not work with the Weber Traveler portable grill?
@@anthonyorellana3525the tank will work with anything a Coleman tank works with, but this adapter will not refill Coleman tanks.
Would it be better if we froze the 1 pound bottles before filling?
You don't need to freeze the Flame King 1lb Refillable Tanks
What’s the function of the groove in the 1lb tank head?
Please contact our customer service team by sending an email to info@flameking.com
So you can only fill the £1 80% of it only 80% of it or you can fill the whole pain. I’m just confused thank you.
You can only fill the tanks to a their 80% mark
When my 20 lb tank gets down to 2-3 lbs remaining, the 1 lb-ers won't fill anymore. Is there any trick to get more out of the large tank?
@dagmovin There is no way to get all of the propane out of the larger tank because the liquid propane comes out of the valve which sticks down into the tank so when the tank is inverted, at some point the level of propane goes below that valve and can not come out.
You could try freezing your 1lb tanks and pour boiling water on your big tank.
Full or 80%? Like are you filling it 16oz/1lb or only like 12-13oz?
80%
80% full of liquid propane. The 20% head space is for the liquid as it boils off to a gas. All propane tanks work this way.
What about refilling 5lb tank?
Our system is design to refill 1lb tank and smaller.
@@flamekingproductsit's "design to fill" Huh?
In other words. Just do it. Amazing how people need a video to learn how to screw and unscrew things.
