- My curse if finnally lifted! No longer shall i fear getting my feet wet on a random mornign and ruining the rest of my day (or whole camping trip).
www.Randysun.com sent me a bunch of these waterproof socks for me to test and to share with the lucky adventurers who join my tours here in Portugal. I've been using them all winter and I am confident to tell you that these things were quite simply game changers for me :D

As you may or may not know, I’ve been sent a pair to test and review myself, and without ‘spoiling’ too much - YES, yes they are as great as you say, I couldn’t be more surprised with how well they work.
Well, it doesnt rain a lot here, thats exactly why weak men like me are not used to getting our feet wet :p

I guess living in the UK helps you be aware of waterproof socks. I've got 3 pairs from 2 manufacturers and I've never heard of Randysuns until now.
I'm happy with what I have but if I ever need some more, I'll consider these ones 👍

Had the chance to try them .. absolutely amazing ... walking through the stream felt weird .. but feet stayed dry
I usually get sweaty feet very quickly, but with these socks they were just a bit damp.
Waterproof boots are great, they keep water out ... but also keep sweat inside
I Bought now a pair of Sealskinz Allweather, because they are available here
pro: washing is simple, wash and tumble
con: still sweaty feet
Alleluia!!! Diogo is well and alive. Very interesting the socks. The price in the States is very decent for sport clothing. Dear Diogo, have you followed all the hype for the Kove 450 Rally? Seems very interesting at a very good price, as there is no need of expensive improvements, like complete change of suspensions.

Yes i looks like a very proper "rally bike", but i am still unsure if it would be a good dual-sport or small adv bike. I am sure it is a contender VS the EXC500 or something like that, but maybe not a replacement for a dr650, ktm690, xt660, etc etc etc
@@OFFroadOFFcourse Hi, my old experience tells me that it could be a very good ADV for long range.
It has a very good steel frame, excellent suspensions you can tune in every way, air filter upside easy to clean.
Tower, good seat, extra large foot pegs. Very sleek.
With that you can pass everywhere.
Plenty of details for easy and fast maintenance.
It has the Zongchen NC 450 modified with a head double OHC 4 valves giving 50 HP euro 5 (yes euro 5 homologated...).
IThe engine is basically a road engine, with enough oil, not a race engine with 1 liter of oil like the KTM.
An important point for reliability it's all on ball bearings, event the camshafts. The KTM racing heads die because the camshafts are on ball bearing on one side and alu bearings on the other, and the oil pump when a bit worn does not give enough pressure...
A beefy 300 watts alternator gives plenty of electricity for all the amenities.
It's able of 170 kmh it's largely enough, and accelerates better than a 500 EMC as seen on YT. You can cruise on road at 120+ smiling.
The engine seems very reliable. The 3 Kove engaged in the Dakar have arrived.
The 3 Kove engaged in the Sonora Rally have arrived at excellent places without any problem.
It's rather light, it's a true TT able to go on road without suffering.
Surely some little mods to make, luggage are appearing in China. But in fact it's easier to detune a bike than spending a lot of money on indigent suspensions or a bad frame.

Good review mate, I might have to consider getting some of those puppies, my old feet hate getting wet, strangely the last time was in Portugal late last year on your tour, and I was wearing my Gortex Sidi adventure boots.

Good review. One problem in hot and humid climates is that some people’s feet sweat profusely and your feet still get wet with sweat! So these might not work for some of us.

Hello Diogo. Unless I've missed it, I can't see any comments asking about Sealskinz... I've been using Sealskinz for thirty years. I have new pairs, but actually use the 30 year old ones on my eMTB and they don't let a drop of water in! So, aside from the fact that these look to be exact copies of Sealskinz (the construction) why would I want these instead? Regards, Darth. U.K.

What's the point if the boots get soaked. There are way cheaper ways to keep your feet dry.

@@lefterisbampaidis5446 tried that and after 4 days of riding in rain (on a camping trip, outdoor sleeping), my feet looked and felt horribly wet & swollen. there's zero breathability. if plastic would be a solution, we would all ride with plastic bags in the rain in stead of gore tex jackets.
@@PeterR0035 you're right. But 40€/$ for a pair of socks is too much.
Most boots are waterproof and they ask for little maintenance (fat/leather care, waterproofing spray to improve the situation if old, etc)
